New update brings glitched controls

Ever since the latest Sega Forever update came out, the jump button has been glitched. It only responds to input about half the time. The game is (literally) unplayable until this gets fixed.

Many glitches, fix the app please

I’ve had no problem progressing through sonic 2, but as soon as the app went free, it took an ungodly amount of time to restore the purchases, and now the jump button is stuck. Every time an app goes free, there’s always an orgy of unfixed glitches, and you wonder why nobody wants to download your app.

The Games Amazing, But I Don’t Know if It’s My Imagination Or It’s The IPad’s Fault, But I Swear It’s Just The D-pad And The Button Just Don’t Respond To Input, I Press Down On The D-Pad To Curl In A Ball & Left And Right To Move, But On Frequent Occasions Nothing Would Happen!!! ?????????

Remove the ads SEGA!

Sega really screwed up this time: Sonic 2 was probably one of the first classic sonic games I ever played and enjoyed. NOW SEGA WANTS MONEY! And to think advertisements could be worse... I gave this a 1 Star rating from this adpocolipse that sega created. So if you’re into sonic i recommend you pay 1.99 to remove ads. It’s a good way to make you play with 0 ads on as well as not getting one when you resume the game. Yeah it will be nice to remove ads for people who bought the game when it was 3 dollars. nice >:]

Jump button doesn’t work.

I paid for this app, and it is now useless. The jump control has been unresponsive for a while now. Please fix this.

Unresponsive Jump and occasional sticky controls

The jump button in this port has many times become very unresponsive. I try to click it and sometimes sonic does not even jump. I beat Robotnik with 0 rings remaining. But then I tried to jump over a hazard and the button didn't work and so Sonic died. Also a few times I've had Sonic run into lava or spikes because the controls stuck to the left or right and one time he stayed crouch. Please fix this Sega, this is my favorite Sonic game out of the 3 iOS games.

Restore Purchase Not Working

I’m not mad that it’s free to play now, I just think it’s bull that I bought the app a while back and have to play with ads because the restore purchase function isn’t working.

My game no longer crashes, but do you really need this many ads? The genesis games that aren’t remade and that are just straight up emulation only show one ad before the game starts and then no more problems. Could you please fix this SEGA?

Game is at a broken state

Before the game became part of the sega forever collection. The game was the best way to play sonic 2. However as of right now it’s in a hot mess. Jumping is somehow broken. Restoring in app purchases don’t stay restored. Have no method of restoring in app purchases after the initial screen for ad support or paying. Online has a serious bug. In oil ocean act 2 game can just screen lock randomly. Causing both p1 and p2 in capable of completing the stage

MAJOR BUG: PLEASE FIX

Prior to the 4.0 update, this used to have quick, tight, and responsive controls just like all of the other iOS Sonic ports. After the update however, the input delay has become SIGNIFICANTLY more noticeable! Sometimes jumping takes almost AN ENTIRE SECOND to register after pushing the button, if you’re lucky to have it even register at all. This happens most commonly when trying to jump while running/walking. Sometimes while going left or right, the buttons even get STUCK! This leads to the gameplay experience being a lot more frustrating FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS. Parts of the game like the Special Stages, the Final Boss (ESPECIALLY as Knuckles, which was already bad without the “update”), and even just platforming in general feel like like you’ve been unfairly handicapped. Christian Whitehead, if you’re reading this, PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS.
