It kept quitting on me, the only function that worked was the microphone after trying 3 the times, deleted after 2 minutes I want a refund

I like that sensitivity bar. It helps alot. But could be alot better if it could analyze in more detail below 4khz

The app doesn't recognize frequency. When playing A note, all bars level goes up. I don't think this app is worth to pay $0.99.

I would not recommend this app, for the following reasons. 1. The sound in the room does not seem to be displayed on the screen unless the room is fairly quiet. 2. The frequency scale is only linear and can't be changed to log. Zero to 4 kHz occupies 20% of the linear scale. 3. You can't select line display, only vertical bars. 4. The test mode appears of limited usefulness at best.

This would be the bomb if it worked with the IPod on your phone to. Can this be done?

Good for a light show but that's about it. Not sensitive enough for any real use and not focussed on the right frequencies (most of the graph is dedicated to frequencies beyond the range of hearing for the average pop/rock music listener).

It would be much more useful if it worked with the iPod itself as to analyze your music saved to your device... And also if it didn't crash every time it was opened

I have no clue what filters or FFT the programmer TRIED to implement. It doesn't work yet. You will get an app with bars that somewhat jump to incoming noise or sound. Definitely in no way anywhere near to what one expects from a spectrum analyzer. However you get what you pay for: $0.99 isn't much.

This app is much improved from earlier versions, and the continued enhancements have made it a worth while purchase. I personally love the Spectral Flames !
