SMS Shield

SMS Shield is a Machine Learning-based SMS spam filter for iPhone. We trained it on what spam SMS looks like by showing it tens of thousands of spam SMSs beforehand. SMS Shield then learns and, to a high degree of confidence, can identify spam even it haven't seen it before. This app is good but owner is freaking greedy since he did not say anything about subscriptions plan before downloading. It will be better if they charge one time app purchase, instead of hidden subscriptions. If you’re planning not to subscribe; it is worthless to download this app

So far not even 1 spam text has been blocked by this app. Spam text ( sms messages) continue to flood my phone. I am yet to find a successful sms spam blocker. Even this paid service does not do the trick.

Developer didn’t answer on emails. It’s interesting how to cancel the subscription or trial. You can’t cancel subscription in the app. Looks like cheaters.

Hi, this app worked excellent during my free trial blocking spam and sending it to another list, after free trial. The same messages that this app blocked came thru how convenient is that, this app is a scam and after money, so beware. I’ve contacted Apple and got my money back the same day.

Doesn’t work

I pay for the premium service but it doesn’t work anymore. I get daily spam texts that should be blocked based on the keyword, but aren’t. I can’t even contact them in any way other than this review, to which they may or may not choose to respond. Oh well, guess I’ll have to cancel and try another blocking service that doesn’t charge money...can’t get any worse.

Even with specific words added to the blocklist, spam texts with those keywords still came through. They came through even though testing the text message said it would be blocked. This app wouldn’t be worth it even if it were free.

App worked flawlessly for a year or two, but after updating the iOS software on my phone neither filtered or unknown numbers are sorted anymore. I’m not sure if it is an iOS issue or a SMS Shield issue, but I’d love to get it figured out.
