Overall, good app, with fast download. Love limited commercials! Wish there were more full episodes rather than just clips.
I love the different segments but hate having to watch the same ad over each time I change segments
I do not understand this app? Could someone explain why most of the videos last just minutes or even seconds (no kidding)? Just say you have to pay to see them.
I’m one of the few remaining cable subscribers and am forced to elect a sub-tier of otherwise useless channels just to get Smithsonian. That being said, I would appreciate receiving more value through on-demand content posted to my carrier’s network as well as Roku, FireTV, Apple, etc. Because Smithsonian & History has a large amount of historical content that is repeated either seasonally or not at all, it would be great to see this available through the on-demand channel. As it stands, apps like this and those on streaming TV that show short snippets of content are of no interest to me, otherwise I’d stream YouTube.
Last few days, all the app states in the channel is unavailable and to go to a website for answers. That website is not even active. So nothing to watch and zero answers.
I can’t watch free full episodes because when I open it , it’s keep loading forever . I can only watch short videos . My internet speed is fast .
App is nothing more than trailers for shows. I’d gladly pay a subscription fee as I got rid of cable years ago. Just saw 3 of the shows I picked out at random cost $8.99 EACH??? No thanks. Delete.
I’m a History junkie and as I watch the station a lot, I was very happy to see the companion app. However, when I went to scroll through the shows, I had to stop even before the ‘A’s were over. The way each listing pops put, it hurt my eyes and I was unable to continue. I get that it looks nice but if I can’t even read it, there is no point to keeping this app.
Very cool app. Wonderful videos. Great for filling the head with good information. Lots of variety too.
This is a great app for educating yourself on ancient and newly found topics. The one downside though would be the lack of iPhone X support.
