Pretty good until it’s not

This is so great. My 5 year old loves it. However, the sync isn’t working, it logged me out, doesn’t recognize my username, and there’s no way to get help if you’re not logged into the app- which I can’t do because it doesn’t recognize my username. It’s really too bad.

Very helpful

Very good app. Simple to use by everyone. Also easy to share with my child’s therapist. I use it as a behavior chart for my autistic son. Helps him to visualize what he’s doing right and what he needs to improve in. He loves that he can cash in his smileys for rewards.

Great. Easy to use. Instant reward.

My almost 4 and almost 6 year old girls love this app. We were having some discipline issues with the girls not following directions the first (or second) time they were given. Now, receiving a smile for “first time listening” and good behavior has drastically improved things over the last week since using the app. We have no other rewards attached, just simply receiving a positive smile has them behaving better and wanting to do things to earn more smiles. :)

As a teacher and parent, I love the versatility, accountability, and flexibility that are built into this app. It goes far beyond the traditional, and often cumbersome, behavior charts used in many schools because one child’s progress can be easily accessed and updated by multiple staff members and caregivers, as invited by the board creator. The app includes ready-to-go pre-built boards tailored to specific situations, such as classroom behavior or doing chores, and customizable boards make it easy for teachers and parents to create behavior lists tailored to their specific students or children. I love the currency system because it gives children a tangible and clear view of their specific behavioral challenges and strengths, motivating them to earn more “smiles” than “frowns.”

I cannot even get the stars to work. I get an error message any time I try to add value. Also, the UX is terrible.

Great When It Works

I realize that this any newer app is bound to have a few bugs, and will adjust my rating accordingly as it (hopefully) improves. I immediately loved its simplicity. I tried the 'Around the House' board first, and realized that the custom board would work better, so I purchased and customized it. It's great for my family, and I love that my husband can also stay up to date on the kids' behavior while he's working out of town. After using it for a few hours, I also purchased the ad-free version. Today has been my second day using it, and it's now crashing every time I attempt to view the *rewards page. Hopefully this is a quick and easy fix, not only because I've spent more than I normally do on apps, but because I really do like the format and look forward to using it regularly. *I was actually trying to access the page to send a screen shot and recommend it to my friends. -Update: A few weeks later, it still isn't working. REALLY disappointed! -Update 2: A couple more weeks and still nothing! I'm removing a star from my rating. I paid for extra features in this app and I can't even use it.

Changed to paid version without warning!?!
Kegolding

I'm very disappointed as I was forced to login today in the free version and all the information that I had for my three kids had been completely erased!!! Without warning!!! How do I explain that to my kids? Not cool! If you had warned me about it, I would have considered buying the paid version. But I am not going to play your silly bait and switch game!

App shut down and couldn’t connect with FB
Wauthnk

Tried to start a new account by linking Facebook to the app; the app gave an error within FB, and when I hit okay, the app and FB shut down. I thought this would be a cool app for my children, but you all obviously have some R&D to perform to work the links/kinks/errors out.

Using this app in the classroom
pshaner4

My 4th grade students like the visual and their parents appreciate it too! They like to compete against themselves to have more smiles than frowns. They haven’t even earned a reward yet, but that’s not even what’s motivating them. They are motivated to have more smiles than frowns to make me and their parents proud. Note: I only use this with 4 of my students who need extra motivation to make better choices. I plan to start using it with my 5 year old daughter.

Kid stuff without being kid stuff
hojn

Smart approach that goes deeper than most “rewards boards” and thankfully doesn’t package itself to look like a bad box of sugar cereal from the 70s. Yet it really “gets” the psyche of kids and creates an ecosystem where they can approach behaviors as choices. I like it.
