Scanner OK, OCR not so great

I used a very clear black and white photo of a document as a test case. The scan looked ok, but the OCR did not return any recognizable text. And once done reading, which is how it does OCR, I could not get it back to the main part of the program, stuck in read mode.
Uninstalled it. Too many ads.

Every click, it was "download this app". "Download that app." Annoying.
