Would it not be great if

Developers concentrated on their OWN product before starting to implement 3rd party feature like nest? Smappee - come in guys. You have a semi working app on both android and iOS. Please put some energy and effort into that 1. Graphs - not sensible on iPhone X either you cover vertical dimension or current time slot dependent on which way phone turns 2. Graphs - huge unused screen area in the middle of the screen in landscape mode. Please stretch graph to use available space. Ipad is even worse 3 logic - put all meter readings in same menu and not scattered around the app (electricity/gas etc) 4. OCR read pictures for meter readings? 5. How about a compare to last period (yesterday / same day last year / same day with same avg temperature last year and so on) There are so much room for improvement in your app and still you think nest support is a priority?

Doesn’t work

The Smappee didn’t find any appliances after almost a month. The app is eh, and customer service is not good. This is not an American company, I wouldn’t recommend this product

Wouldn't connect at first..

I've tried everything I can think of to get smappee connected to my Wifi, but it refuses. "unable to contact smappee servers try again- network unavailable". I'm running ios 8.1.3 on iPhone 6, my network is apple AirPort Extreme and one express extending the network (I also unplugged the extender and it still doesn't connect). I have a very strong wifi signal (-51dBm) I have the device inside, Why not just give it an Ethernet port? I've spent 3 hrs trying to get this thing connected with no success. - Update Smappee servers were doing maintenance, up and running now! still should have an Ethernet port! So far seems to be working. As I switch lights on and off I see realtime wattage usage! I hunted down all the energy drainers like microwave lights, and bedroom fans. Will update later as it starts learning appliances. Very cool!

Very random readings. Setup of this device was a nightmare. Hardly useable, keeps restarting every few minutes. I had no similar issues with other devices to monitor energy consumption. This one is a good idea, but very bad execution. Need a lot of work. Almost 200 EUR for the device is also a bit steep.

No app update shows lack of care

Bought this product hoping I could monitor my home consumption and solar production but it's software design layout is annoying and of poor taste. Should be redesigned for support of the iPhone 6 Plus screen and also get rid of the annoying bubbles. Simple chart flow will do. The output of the solar production from my inverter to this app is nearly off 50watts. Hopefully it gets fixed and or looked into. I was producing 1000 watts but the app was showing only 550? Nearly half off at one point.

Buggy release!

The latest update, adding Smappee Plus compatibility, seems to have messed up all the appliance events on/off detection. They seem to be reversed now, as in 'off' is 'on' and 'on' is 'off'. This has the affect of making smappee think my appliances are on all the time. But none of the consumption numbers add up anymore. Example: Smappee thinks I'm using 150 watts (live), but when you click on live energy consumption, it will show the dishwasher is using 450 watts, even when it's not on.
