These articulation videos allow people with apraxia, aphasia, and/or dysarthria resulting from stroke or head injury to easily practice letters, numbers, and colors as often as they like. Because each exercise comes as an individual video, you can focus on just the words you need and repeat them as many times as you like.

“I have recently had the opportunity to use SmallTalk apps, from Lingraphica, with my students on the spectrum (with and without apraxia). I was amazed at how ideal these apps are for students with autism. They are the perfect visual tool. Students with autism will imitate behaviors from a video more easily that from face to face instruction. Video modeling also gives the students the freedom to watch over and over again until the skill is mastered leading to the acquisition of complex verbal skills. I would recommend the SmallTalk apps to anyone working with students on the spectrum.” –Lois Jean Brady, Speech-Language Pathologist (US)

Very useful

I have had no difficulty with the function of this app. It has been very useful with a variety of patients, most of all with autistic children who have great interest in the iPad. This app facilitated some great vocal approximations and improved attention for my vocal models and cues. I have also found children with verbal apraxia to demonstrate improved attention to models/cues and increased vocalization attempts with this app. The only negative I have is that the color blue is omitted and some of the other colors are a little off. It would also be helpful to include more vocalic /r/ sounds. Overall the app is very good.

The first playing of each video works. Thereafter the video is frozen on the Woman's mouth. No good.
