Free version isn't worth using

This reviews the free version: which is to say, sure, you CAN download this app and sort of use it without paying, but you can't import videos or save them which makes it useless to me. As for the paid content, I have yet to decide whether it's worth it when slow motion is part of the iPhone and there are lots of transition apps...

Recently started using the app and I'm in love! It's really fun to use and you can pretty much use it on anything that moves. The filters/effects are really nice and give your clips a creative look. I definitely recommend getting this app.

This one is really easy to give five stars. I found this while looking for a simple slow-no video app, but this exceeded expectations! It's super quick and easy to create very cool clips with professional looking effects. UPDATE: I have to move this down to three stars, because a change to the capabilities has made this vastly less useful. Previously, the camera kept taking continuous clips as I held down the button, at least as long as its memory could handle it. After an update, it only takes one clip at a time. How often is the action you're trying to capture two seconds or less?!? And I can't sit there tapping the shutter repeatedly during the action. I've emailed support multiple times with no response. So, I'm downgrading my review to 2 stars. With this functional change, I no longer use this app.

Worst app EVER!

Cool effects but NOTHING can be done when you're done recording and editing a video! You just have to pay MONEY to save it to your camera roll! This is absolutely unfair. This app is a fraud!

This app is wonderfully simple and easy to use. The effects are great. My only wish is that you could take longer videos in the camera!

For 1st try, the most confusing step I found was at the "capturing" step. After reviewing the demos, I was in "video" mode, but SMG's capture screen says, "Take A Photo." Aside from that minor mindset shift, all the other configurables are straightforward. These are: • frame speed – from 1/6 up to 1/1 speed • transitional effect when the loop restarts – a pretty big variety (12) of settings • color filter applied during the loop – several selections (9) here, ranging from B&W (actually more sepia-ish) through several degrees of saturation & intensity. Then you can join separate shots together in a mix. The free version lets you play with this feature, but won't let you save your mixes. For more serious application, I think it would be important if: • the user could configure the video sequence length. I would hope the pro version does this, but don't know. • the app produced sequences dimensionally compatible with the iPhone native video & stills, not just square. I am guessing this would be a future development.

Slowmo has been around for a while now, by default in iPhone and some other apps has added the feature into those but never had any app come up with it in such a brilliant way. This app literally made me fall in love with it from the first attempt. Transitions are way better than apps that are out there made for high-end videography. The part where you get to chose a slowmo speed is one feature this app has outclassed the others. Although I don't have the pro version it seems to have a lot of features plus more transitions that will ensure to make the users happy. It's also looks like unlocking pro version will make the videos even more creative and awesome. Gif option is another key feature. This app is definitely the best app I have seen so far this year. 5 star is because it deserves. I highly recommend this app.
