Unexpectedly My New Favorite App!

I honestly didn’t know what to expect when joining this app but it’s been such a pleasant experience. I’ve already gained several pen pals from around the world and already started a real friendship with one of them. The anticipation makes me feel like a little kid. It’s nice that it’s instant like texting or social media. It feels more personable and intimate, like true connection. So needed in these present days!

Would you please can remove the average of sending and received letters? Or shows the information in a different way. It’s not only looks confuse, but also makes some accounts to look like non a good penpal. In my opinion that information should be private.... or let the user choose it. Thanks in advance

Love it from the beginning. You can make friends anywhere. And by writing real letters you can know yourself better and meet a lot of people with you same interests. Besides it teaches you patience.

I love SLOWLY! It’s been boosting my morale! Only nitpick I have is that currently, there seems to be a bug... I went to respond to my first replied letter, and now it has the spinning dots like it’s having trouble loading. Not sure if it’s a connection error or a bug that needs to be fixed. Please fix soon...! I wanna talk to my pen pal. :I

Apps like TikTok and Instagram, where the content is much harder to regulate, have ratings of 12+. Slowly recently got uninstalled on my phone due to data storage and I’m unable to get it back. I made a lot of friends there and I wanted to reconnect with some of them, but now I won’t be able to. It’s a great app, just unfortunate that they changed the rating.

This app is amazing for meeting new people around the world and I get that it’s supposed to be an almost penpal letter experience, but I’m just not into the wait times for letters to go back and forth, if they were shortened or reduced significantly I believe it would make the app better improved for users. Besides that, amazing app.
UNSAFE APP - Full of GHOSTS & CATFISHES

I am a young introverted American woman, and was excited to find this app last year. However, I must urge caution before you download this app! People are NOT who they claim to be. Every correspondence has ended suspiciously after a time. Many people ghost after a few letters. Other correspondences suggest a darker side to the app. For example, I started talking to “Sebastian” in Sept 2020, who claimed to be a 36-year-old man in Germany, working as a pilot. After 2 months of writing long letter to each other every day, he vanished. I was hurt to be ghosted, but I understood that life changes. 3 months later, that same account now claims to be a young woman in Serbia with all different details. I believe that this is either a case of catfishing, misleading me and and others about their true identity, or possible scammers with malicious intent. I reported this to the Slowly support team, and received a very neutral and unsympathetic response. To vulnerable people, especially - please be careful!!! You DO NOT know who you are really talking to, or who the creep writing back truly is. I am devastated, and feel deceived and betrayed, and my anxiety about the whole mess is off the charts. This app is UNSAFE! User BEWARE!
