Fascinating

Really interesting to see trending data that you thought you knew but thanks to app you get to see actual trends

Lacks Polish

I'm all for helping out with research, so long as there's a benefit to me. Mirroring other comments, this app lacks usefulness, though I understand it's for research. Doesn't appear to read health data (I track my sleep with another app), is missing spell-check/auto-correct in journaling area, and does seem to require a lot of attention. Watch integration isn't terrible, but it lacks any real functionality (though I do use it to rate sleep and sleepiness). Looking forward to seeing what this app can turn into with some further development.

CAN'T EDIT Previous Days!

Needs this feature. I wake up very late and go to sleep around sunrise, so I'm never able to do evening activities (or even morning activities if I don't remember to do them before midnight)

For Apple Watch users, a long time coming

Great to finally have a quality sleep app. The syncing of the other sleep apps was abysmal.

Very helpful app

Has great potential

Apple, IBM, and Researchers are all really on the brink of something great here. I join all of apples research kit apps that i am eligible for. Ive been tracking my sleep for a while now, since iPhone 5s, however with the apple watch ive been able to collect data more accurately. I use sleep++, the biggest problem with this app is it dosnt take advantage of apples health app and pull the sleep data. (This is at a minimum). Personally i think the app should have the option to track sleep it self using the apple watch if you have one. Asking me in the morning how long i had slept is flawed because im gonna say from when i went to bed to when i got up. But that's not actually how much sleep i got. All in all i do intend on keep with the app and know that in time this app will actually track my sleep, ask less questions because of it, and with care kit will be able to give me really data i can use or my doctor can use to help in rich my own life.

Great potential, few bugs

In short, the app has incredible opportunity to offer great insight into your, and everyone's, sleep and how to manage it, understand it, better it. Although, right now entering partner information crashes the app every time. Also, currently I have two of every activity in my activities. For whatever reason they doubled after my first use. Those are app software issues. One personal issue is how much data and time I personally have to devote to the app.

App Doesn’t use Watch

Kevkard

Come on dev team. Either it’s really obscure, or this app just doesn’t use the Watch to really track sleep. The hype thus far has communicated it would use the watch while sleeping (at least that’s what I read in some of the releases) but it does not. I’m fine being part of a study - but to spend time MANUALLY entering sleep & wake hours and quality is just not feasible for me. I don’t think there’s any reason why data brought in from other sources (like Sleep Cycle) into Apple Health couldn’t be used in the SleepHealth…. that’s what the resource kit is actually for (!) so that everyone doesn’t have to put in their own code. One other thing- get the website finished. There are multiple blank pages (e.g. ‘contact us’) on the Sleeptember pages and ZERO actual support pages. Keep going - this is nothing great yet - but there is potential. I’ll try to keep going with it, but can’t make any promises.

Doesn't work

Would have liked to have participated but after filling out the consent three different times, I am deleting the app. It crashed on me during the first attempt and the second two gets to signing the form and then asks me to login and restarts the entire on-boarding screens and consent process. Too bad, it could have been a good idea ... Next release, do some regression tests and make sure the thing works.

Great App! Does exactly what it says it's going to do!!

Recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and while my CPAP machine generally solves those issues wanted to see if there is a way to participate in solving the plethora of sleep related issues people deal with. Was very glad to find this app and be able to contribute. This Research Kit app is designed to collect data, to help sleep researchers provide better treatment options down the road. Sleep++ and other apps I read about are only giving you the info, potentially, you could share with your doctor, but not providing sleep researchers data to find improved treatments for everyone. Folks, that is what Research Kit apps are all about! And while I'm on a rant, please read the description completely before you download. This app and many others describe themselves in great detail so you know exactly what it does and doesn't do. What seems to happen so often is the app I'd downloaded based on a the name, a friend's recommendation, whatever, assumptions are made then the app - which NEVER claimed to do what you'd like it to do - disappoints and a undeserved poor review follows. Take some personal responsibility people!!!
