I use the rain sound as background noise for reading, I made a mix of thunder, rain, and forest for sleep, all and all its a good free app. It does have a lot of features you need to pay to use however, but it's still good without them :)
Not "white noise"

Obviously reviewers have no idea what "white noise" is as this app doesn't have that option. I wanted a plain white or pink noise app. This has none so I deleted. A shame the description is wrong as the rest seems fine.

I plug my headphones into my iPhone and use this app to block out noise while I am studying for my college course work or while writing papers. Love it! It's a life saver for sure! It blocks out the unwanted and distracting noise but I'm able to retain my focus.

Use this every nite. Helps me tune out the cars, noisy neighbors and even the storms. Very relaxing. I use mostly "ocean". TY for this awesome app!!!

Grand pain
I originally downloaded the free version of the app because I have very noisy neighbors and I live in an apartment. With this app I was able to fall asleep without any issue and the app worked wonderfully. I just recently upgraded and bought the large package of sounds (240?) via a special deal for only $10, and now I love the app even more. I strongly recommend using the free app for sure, and even buying the upgraded app if you like it as much as I do.
