This version is not ad free. You will still see ads for other games by mainly this developer. Also the syncing is weird if you play on multiple devices. It will visibly show you all the moves made on your other device before you can play. I purchased this as part of a bundle promotion and as a side note, the bundle contains a game that does not work on iOS—phase 10 dice. Not sure why it’s sold in the app store.
Stick with the card game.

I LOVE skip bo, but I’m growing to hate this app. I paid for the app so I could play, yet it wants me to buy coins so I can actually play. I waned the app to play with friends...literally cannot figure out how and I consider myself tech savvy. Skip this app.
Total wins for Gold Challenge

I love, love, love SkipBo. Both the card game and, sometimes, the app. But recently I’ve been trying to add total wins to the Gold Challenge and everyday it seems like my actual win doesn’t get added to the total AND I get wins taken off. Yesterday, I won 3 times. Only 2 of those registered and were added to the total; which ended up being 16. But then I woke up this morning to see that those 2 wins were then gone. I was back to 14. I’m so angry! I don’t think this is the first time it’s happened either. This is just the first time I’ve noticed. I’ve definitely won a lot more than 14 or 16 times but the game makers don’t want you to win 50 coins so they’ll take wins away from you. I never write reviews but I think this warranted one. ?????????

Would be 5 stars if the app actually performed as it should. App constantly crashes no matter how many times you close it out, sometimes get error saying cannot send to Game Center when playing with a friend, and not optimized for iPhone X. For a paid app you would think it would fit the screen of the new iPhone, unlike some free apps. Disappointed in the quality of this app as I love this game and would like to be able to use the app without frustration.

Games error out and kill the app entirely too often. It’s extremely frustrating. You can only play a multiplayer game with someone you know if they’re in the same room with you, which is irritating. Considering how long these types of games have been around, you’d think an app sponsored by a huge corporation like Mattel, would be better designed and maintained. Very disappointing.
Won’t work with a friend when we both have iPads & iPhones

I like the game. My friend and I play the card game all the time. She just got her iPad and we were so excited to think we could play when we weren’t together. However, the only place we can see each other’s pictures is on the Leaderboard. It will NOT allow us to play each other. We can only play the computer or a computer-selected match. Therefore, the rectangular screens shows the computer matches, but we can’t play each other. It’s very discouraging!!!

My girlfriend and i are addicted to the physical card version of this game! So much so that we both get genuinely mad when the other wins! I was out of town for two weeks looking forward to a break from this maddeningly addictive game! Then like a fool one moment during my day when i was bored i thought I wonder if there is an app and i wonder if we can play remotely....well there is and we can and its my cocaine **sigh** It is an addiction i can’t deny. The game is great just like it is in card form it runs smooth (when playing against the computer) i can play with my girlfriend when we are apart and i love it! I took a star off however because it gets glitchy when playing with others from time to time. It Crashes and says “Cant complete turn check connection and try again.” I don't have wifi where i am and assume it runs better when connected but i have not yet tested that. All in all it is a minor frustration seeing as how it functions more times then it does not and it is something that so far i can overlook. It is worth the $1.99 to not have the ads every other game and is a great game made better in digital form! Try It!!
