STATS AND MAPS
Ski Tracker tracks speed, distance, altitude, vert, and time. It also gives you a map showing where you have been while you are saving a run.
COLOR CODED
When viewing saved runs your route shows up on the map color coded by speed. It shows where you went the fastest (red) and where you were slowest (blue).
VOICE SUMMARY
Don't want to look at the screen every few minutes? You can have the app tell you updates on your progress either every mile or every five minutes.
PAUSE AND RESUME
Pause the workout to catch your breath or chat with a friend and then resume when you get back to it.
FACEBOOK
Share your workout with your friends on Facebook with our easy to use integration.
LARGE DISPLAY
You can easily see your stats in real time with your current speed being the focal point. (Though I wouldn't recommend checking it out much in real time :-))
VIEW TIME PERIODS
See the stats for the last run, last week, current month, or all time with the touch of a button as well as the ability to choose a specific track.
MAP TYPES
You can switch between 3 different map types including street, hybrid, and satellite view.
UNITS
App supports both standard and metric units.
Note: Continued use of the GPS will reduce battery life.
Accurate but it crashed when trying to upload stats to FB. Went to entry for the day and no option to re-attemp to upload to FB. Needs to be free until they work the bugs out and improve the user interface and options. I feel the app shouldnt go paid until its got a fan base AND bugs/interface is fixed. Good concept....just not there yet.
Worked well all day long tracking speed and map info. Went to the lodge to wrap up the day and check the data. The only data left was the time. No speed, no vert, nada. Bummed as it was an epic day... If they can straighten out the issues, it'll be awesome.
Buy Ski Tracks. The name of this app is confusingly similar to Ski Tracks, Barely functional, does map but that's it. A waste of 1.99
Just used this app 3 times for cross country skiing. It appears to be what I am looking for in terms of training for cross country skiing.
This is not the app you are looking for. You want Ski Tracks instead. I had the FB crash as well. 3X as expensive, unknown X worse.
In CO, worked great for a few runs recorded in one block, then on a subsequent run later in the day, it did not maintain any recorded info. Just zeros in the stats. Same thing happened in Ohio. Using an iphone 4. Plenty of cell signal in both areas. Very frustrating.
Nice concept too bad it doesn't work. No matter where I am it consistently tells me the GPS signal is too weak.
