They trick you with the $14.99 backup and you’re charged and they don’t respond or refund your money. Be careful it’s a scam! Surprised Apple allows them to be in their App Store.

I immediately deleted the app. This is what spooked me. It sure looks like they will sniff your contracts for their own spam database. “We may also use your contacts and other data that we collect from other sources to enrich Simpler's database with current and up to date contact information (e.g. emails, names, phone numbers).”

They trick you into buying a membership and give you 0 option to cancel. If you do fall for this scam they won’t refund your money but if you contact Apple support, they will help you out. Hopefully they remove this scam from iTunes soon. I prefer Apple because I usually don’t have to worry about scam apps but these guys are tricky. Just look at their FAQs..
Missing contacts.

The app doesn’t work really well. It will not back up all your contacts. It keeps missing between 20-25% or my contacts. It just doesn’t work well at all.

…a little too good. It decided to consolidate things like my brother-in-law’s info with my sister’s. Not particularly helpful. I’d never have used this if I knew it would screw up so much of the info on my phone.
Lost it all

For some reason, this app thinks deleting all my contacts is the best way of merging my contacts. Tried restoring my contacts, nothing happened, instead I got duplicates of what it had left on my phone agggggghhhhhhh. How on earth am I gonna get all my contacts fully back outside restoring my phone from the previous backup. This is really upsetting.
