A Perfect Comfort

KDL ?

As a teenage woman who has online school and is currently quarantined away from her friends, I can say that there’s a lot of weight I carry. Weight that I can’t understand, this app and it’s simple 5 minute meditations had really made it lighter. <3

good and bad

frog lake

I love the meditations. Etc. But, the bad is that the history or saved list is a really poorly implemented feature. I found a meditation I loved but I cannot find it back and may do a lot of searching trying to find it back. I really wish this just ditched the way it does this and went to a standard web browser metaphor. I find the ability to know my previous favorite instructors and sessions to be of great importance and wondering if my favs will be there or still there is a pain and distressing. The download function is also pretty terrible. If I choose to save a session for playback later give me a list of offline accessible sessions. In all, sheer irritation drove me to write this review as I have grown tired of these shortcomings that limits access and usability of the great content library here.

good content but needs updates

Ilikethetwins

I emailed support maybe 2 months ago about an issue on the Meditate tab, as the categories that are supposed to show up are just blank, randomly-shaped bubbles. they eventually responded, but the problem remains. they also haven’t updated social media in MONTHS (ironically, after they posted messages saying they wouldn’t be silent after the events of this summer). maybe they’re slowly but surely closing down shop? there are other apps with better communication & updates, so I’d recommend those instead. (also, a random change that wasn’t welcomed: I set reminders for a specific time each morning. instead, they now just randomly pop up on my screen whenever I first open my phone in the morning. I set a specific time because I want that specific time; don’t have a time option if you’re going to ignore it.)

The Best Me

This app has awakened me into finding my best self.

Icons missing

nenarifai

I enjoy the content of this app. It’s easy to follow and it targets a good number of specific topics. One big problem with this app is that some of the icon tittles fail to appear. I have updated the app and use it in two devices, but still the icons names are missing in both. The developers need to address this.

Letting go

Learning how to relax. Realizing there is always tension to let go of.

Good but not great

Worth it and happy

I downloaded Simple Habit and couldn’t justify the price to unlock certain features/meditations. I eventually broke down and paid for the subscription to access longer meditations for sleep. I mostly use the app to fall asleep but will sometimes use the other mediations or physical activity features. While the subscription does provide a great deal of variety and topical meditations for specific and often common life situations, they sometimes feature a voice that detracts from the relaxation, especially for sleep meditations. Some voices are too loud, nasaly, or ironically bouncy for a sleep meditation. And with one narrator, I found that he took very odd pauses. Despite his voice being soothing, his uneven and disjointed tempo made him sound robotic and disrupted the flow of sound. The ambient sounds are also lacking. But there is a great variety of nature sounds and again, I do like the option of having physical activity videos accessible. Because of these reasons, I don’t feel the subscription is worth it, but I’m happy to keep the app as a free member.
