Simpl Patient Monitor

Simpl - a Simulated Patient Monitor where you can practice medical simulation training anywhere.
Category Price Seller Device
Medical Free Michael George iPhone, iPad, iPod

This app allows you to simulate a patient's vital signs on your tablet or phone without using expensive manniquins.

Connect two or more devices together to run a simulation scenario. Use one device to control the vital signs and the other device as a monitor.

Great learning tool for use in resuscitation scenarios and courses such as the Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS) courses.

There's no need to be on the same Wi-Fi network, devices can be connected together as long as both are connected to the internet. Each simulated scenario you create generates a unique device code so that you can connect multiple devices to join the simulation.

The rhythms are accurate
cwinckler71

It is nice to have a simulator demonstrate accurate rhythms. The pulse ox and abp all work together some apps agave their own pulse no mater what so that is very realistic. Even paused for skipped beats Alarms and sounds are realistic. Shocking and pacing as good. It would be nice to demonstrate demand vs fixed mode on pacer. It would be awesome if you had a YouTube tutorial. I cannot get the blood pressure to change. Also why is them ET Co2 set to only go to 15? It is intuitive so I figured most of it out. But it would be nice if there was at least a key to say what did what. It would also be nice if the BP was larger. Just some suggestions for the program writers. Otherwise this will be very useful for us. I am a nurse educator at a hospital in New York.

EtCo2

Great app but why does the EtCo2 only go to 15? Can this be fixed?

Awesome simulator!,

I run a sim lab and teach critical care. This is amazing! We used to set up full human simulators to get all the monitoring up on the wall. This is so easy to set you can take it anywhere including the floors. Customizable to the VS you want and includes pacing and defibrillation as well. Upgrade to get unlimited vs adjustment is 99 cents. Best buck I ever spent. Our whole sim lab is looking to use this. If you do human patient simulation and medical training this is a must!

Very easy to use and share

No matter the setting, you can have as many users that I have wanted signed in. I used the output to HDMI to a TV for large demonstrations. It’s easily used to any level!

This app helped us add vitally-important realism to our simulation training that we could never have afforded from the large vendors of similar apps. Our students are now going to clinical and field experiences much better prepared after using Simpl to visualize dynamic patient data and waveforms in real time. Setup and use are easy and intuitive, app behavior closely mimics actual monitoring equipment, and the recent addition of pacing means we can now conduct all of our initial ALS training without ever delivering live electrical energy in the lab environment. We placed iPads running Simpl into old monitor cases and added surplus patient cables donated by our local hospital to produce incredibly realistic training monitors. This app is a real game-changer for any training program with a small budget. Paul Ruppert Camp Community College EMS Program
