Extreme frustration

Uto0kmyname

[UPDATE] I've loved sim city since the 90's. My fav game. The recent war upgrade, it was time to say goodbye. I deleted app from my devices. Yes I was a paying customer. The app version was always frustrating but when the added the club feature, I began to play more. Enjoyed the interaction and helping each other build each other cities. Although they say war is optional it is not. Mayor contest filled with war task and your city can be destroyed even if you don't indulge in war violence. Omega city is almost impossible to build without spending real cash. While I don't mind spending some cash, the game has gone beyond ridiculous in sim cash pricing for decorations and items. Too bad... this game had so much potential. Each upgrade gets worse and global hq rarely has needed items and there is 30 sec wait for refresh. Good-bye. ============================================ Would love to give 5 stars after playing for months it's lucky it got 3. Why does the cargo, shipments, building & disaster repairs all request the same items? Some of these can take most of the day to produce just one or two items as they take 6 to 8 hours to manufacture. What's worse, even though you have money, items aren't available on the global trade or sold out while waiting to get to the town selling it. The 30 second refresh is a pain, because if something is not there, I need to wait to hit the refresh button. The ability to add more stores & factories would greatly relieve this problem since there is a big emphasis on manufacturing and trading.

Money hungry developers

I get that they have to make money to run the app but, it's completely money driven. Leveling up takes FOREVER unless you have cash, and even then cash is way overpriced. Collecting items you need to expand anything is impossible, you will never find it in the global trade and if you do, chances are someone else will buy it before you do. Expanding the storage is the biggest rip off, only gives you 5 extra slots at a time and you have to collect like 30 stupid items to even expand, which takes up the majority of your freakin storage!!! So you can only save up for one thing at a time, which just takes you even longer to expand your city, storage, beach, whatever. absolutely ridiculous. I have quit playing a often as I used to but I still get on from time to time. New holiday update is impossible to reach, again, without having cash or speed up tokens. Could be a way better game if everything wasn't rigged up to be a scam.

Typical EA Greed

Izzykong

Let’s be honest, this game used to be fun. The graphics are great, and mechanics are well executed for touch (phones/tablets). Growing cities became increasingly more difficult as you progressed, which was fine, and added a degree of challenge/difficulty. Even, getting rare items for expansion and buying rare buildings was difficult, but was possible if you played the game a reasonable amount of time. Then came the latest update. EA nerfed the ability to get rare items so bad, the game is nearly unplayable. A simcash reward used to be anywhere from 4-9, now you get 1...maybe 2. The only way to get rare items now is to pay...that’s right, forced microtransactions. They’ve also implemented a “winter event” that is clearly akin to a gambling scheme. Has EA no shame?!? I get that most of these games make money off of the microtransactions, but do you really need to take it to the point that the ONLY way to progress is to pay actual money? I understand that “if you don’t like it, just don’t play the game”...and I will likely drop it. It’s just unfortunate that a company has taken a title I’ve cherished for so long and ruined it. It’s also unfortunate to drop the game when you’ve already invested so much time and effort. If you’re new to the game, I’d say skip it. It seems EA’s “games as a service” approach is little more than a money grab, and is ruining cherished titles like Sim City in the process.

Too slow not much immersion

Wildon883r

I played the Sim City series back in the 80s when it was on floppy disks. For one I don’t pay for advancement in any builder based game which is the majority of all level based tablet games. A level 5 waiting 20+ minutes for a nail is a joke. I can’t imagine how slow the game gets as levels rise. It’s more build and wait compared to the original which wasn’t pay real cash if you want to speed game play up. I like tablet games. I’ll pay once for a complete game but not a dime for a pay to progress game.

I have a suggestion

alexmaster1231

Dear EA you have been a company for a while and I was wondering if you could except this I wonder in SimCity build it that you could add cell towers as a service in the next update I hope you read this because it’s a really good suggestion

Great game

JordanC1993

One suggestion that I would like to make is that we need the ability to search for specific items to buy. It would help immensely.

Holiday gift game.

Koolaidkade

The holiday gift game is seriously garbage! Ive been waiting all year for Christmas buildings and now I have play some bs gambling game for a chance to get them. Y’all did this crap with Battlefront 2. Have y’all not learned?? I just want to spend my sim cash that I’ve saved up. Not have to grind for yet another kind of currency have a slim chance of getting what I want. This is seriously garbage EA.
