Old school but GREAT!

It's a wonderful homage to the games of Wizardry and Bard's Tale days-gone-by. If you like flashy graphics, enjoy them elsewhere. This is the foundation of the old school rpg done right. Thank you, Mario!!!

This game has really evolved. I played it through in the early stages and had a great time. I've since come back and realize it's now an epic game (with the dragon expansion). You can literally spend weeks running through this world and still find surprises. If you're a fan of the old role playing games you'll be delighted. If you're new to them... what an intro! I'm waiting for the next expansion, Mario...

This game is outstanding! If you loved the original Bards tale series or D&D, this is your game. Excellently implemented! Deleted a bunch of other games once I found this!

This game is fun especially for those that understand games like Wizardry on the NES, etc. Bit better because mapping is automatic and a lot of frustration getting started and using equipment is gone with Silversword you can focus on leveling, gearing and exploring the game. I look forward to this game growing even more!
Retro but not great

Has the feel of games from ages ago, but also cumbersome and repetitious. Movement is awkward and much grinding is needed to advance. You can reduce the frustration by spending real money - but is it really worth it? I think not.

How fun to have a Bard's Tale app on ios! This game is SOOO FUN! Everything is well-thought-out and perfect! The only thing lacking is music (besides the bard songs) which make games like Bard's Tale more nostalgic); but otherwise it's great!

What a great remake of a great game. The feel is nostalgic but modern at the same time. A great addition for any old school rpg fan. Sure, there's a few bugs, but Mario has always answered promptly and with good fixes. 5 stars!!!

If you're familiar with Bard's Tale(1-3), Might & Magic, Wizardry, Quest, Baldur's Gate or pen-and-paper D & D, you'll enjoy this game. Great controls, deep game-play. Plays exactly like the original Bard's Tale Trilogy
