It's good for what it is...

I am a blue water sailor, cruising the East Coast of the U.S. and out to Bermuda. This app is a copy of H.O. Pub 102 which is carried on the signal bridge of every commercial ship in the world. Because the code meanings are uniform regardless of the nationality of the ship involved, a Portugese fisherman can use the code to request medical advice from the doctor onboard a Norwegian cruise ship even though neither speaks the other's language. Naturally, the paper copy is easier to use, but this is great in a pinch, and is a good study tool. And of course, the price is right!

Good reference to have at sea

Great app! Works well as quick reference, with lots of information. Thanks, and "BRAVO ZULU" to the developer for putting this out!

Useless app, won't even open
Dowslaw

It always amazes me when Apple approves apps that don't work. This app will not open despite numerous reinstalls. Why would the developer even waste it's time on an app that will not work unless it's a bait and switch to get you to buy their paid app.

This is awsome

Great app, definitely worth the 0$ i got it for.

This app needs the Navy definitions for each flag.
steelew

While all these definitions are technically correct they lack the Navy usage of the flag like kilo being flown when there are personnel working aloft or bravo being flown when you are transferring fuel or ammunition. No other flag apps have this info either so this addition would really make this app stand out. Also having the Navy definition of all the pennants would help too.

Fail
Asacjack

Worked great when originally installed, but eventually stopped working. Reinstalls no help. Too bad. Would have been a great app.

Crashing
InvisibleLobster

App crashes a few seconds after I try to launch it. Anyone know a fix? Reinstall didn't help.

Can't run it.
Jonathan53703

This isn't a demanding app, but it won't run on a 2nd-gen iPod touch. There's no indication of that in the description, though.

Good, but...
PepekNamornik

Why isn't there a chapter or main menu for Pub 102? Have fun flipping through hundreds of pages one at a time. Disappointing and rather glaring oversight by the developers of this app.

Hijacked by Ads
Anonmom

Big full screen ads lock you out of the app. Trying to dismiss the ads only triggers more, repeating over and over in a seeming endless loop... Until you finally give up and quit the app altogether. So what's the point?
