This app is really good for ASL in school. At the moment I need biology the most so it's useful that the biology pack is the free one. All together the full set only costs 4 dollars which isn't actually very much considering the huge amount of signs in this app. The video quality isn't the best, but the large range of really useful signs specific to what kids learn in school totally makes up for that. This is a really good under appreciated app.
There is only ONE section available to use, which only contains at most, a hundred words. The other sections you have to buy for a dollar each. So in all, if you bought all those sections (and sub sections), this app would cost you over $30. Considering other sign language apps would only cost me $3 for a full functioning, 10,000 words dictionary/phrases, this is not worth it.
I previously gave a negative review of this app, but after further investigation, and purchasing the individual modules, it's great. I have access to hundreds of signs in class easy enough to pull up as needed. Foot in mouth after previous review ;)
Not only are you learning ASL, but you're learning school subjects in ASL It has been very helpful for me, esp in Bio!!!
I just started doing sign two nights ago and i have memorized 172 words already!??
I paid for the extra vocabulary lists, but the app now crashes every time I open it, even after the update from today. It's very frustrating because I would like to utilize this app!
As an interpreter, I used this app often until it started crashing. Sad because it was great for technical vocabulary. It now works on my iPhone but crashes (even with the update) every time I try to open it on my iPad. Frustrating! Once fixed I would be happy to write a more positive review!
