Sight Words make up about 50 percent of regular English text. To become a great reader, a child must learn to automatically recognize Sight Words. Reading without this essential skill is as slow and frustrating as driving a car with a flat tire.

Introducing Sight Words Sentence Builder—a proven learning tool for young readers.

This kid-friendly app trains children to quickly recognize all Dolch Sight Words and build sentences from them.

The Sentence Builder is not a mindless game that will be thrown out once all levels have been finished. The app can be played over and over until you see no more "blind spots" in your child’s Sight Words collection.

Each level contains simple, common phrases that are constructed using Sight Words. As children hear each phrase, they must arrange words in the correct order to progress through the game. In other words, the app teaches Sight Words by "doing" rather than "viewing," which makes a world of difference!

The key advantage of Sight Words Sentence Builder is that the game is interactive and quite exciting. Colorful graphics along with lovable animals and other "rewards" keep children curious and engaged, motivating them to keep improving.

You can monitor your child’s progress on a report card, which shows recent scores and times played. With this information, you will know how your children are doing without standing behind them.

Help your child learn a vital life skill. Start by downloading Sight Words Sentence Builder today!

I work with kindergarten and 1st grade children learning to write. This is a terrific tool for reading, assembling sentences then writing the sentences. The graphics are fun.

Love it!

Fun while learning for my 5 year old

No sound

I just paid $8.99 and the app has no sound. Did anyone else experience this? How do we fix it?

Not worth my money
growandlearn

I thought it was going to help them sound out the words and spell them... very disappointed

Nice idea

I like the practice of listening and building a sentence. I wish there was the ability to see the word lists for each level and a way to keep track of different users progress.

No Variety

The same sentences keep repeating.

Great app for teaching sentence structuring
DoverDragons

Used this app extensively last year while tutoring in a 2nd grade classroom. Almost all of the students were from migrant workers families and had moved around quite a bit as a result. This app really helped them to learn not only their sight words, but also helped them learn the essentials of sentence structuring. Great job.

Wonderful

Sight word sentence builder
Dolch sentence game

I give this app 3 stars, because it is a step in the right direction, but doesn't quite travel far enough. As an Occupational Therapist who works in the schools I am always on the lookout for dolch word and alphabet apps that are engaging and fun. There is a definite shortage of dolch word interactive games, so I was excited to give this one a try. This game lacks levels of difficulty beyond sentence complexity, such as an option to turn the auditory sentence prompt off and have the student construct the words into a sentence that makes sense. Or simple paragraph construction. Or requiring the words to be placed with proper spacing to reinforce word spacing during writing tasks. After the correct sentence is constructed, this app could use some exciting visual interaction to further engage the child. One good thing this app does is work on the auditory language processing and auditory memory, which would be good to track as well.
