This app has completely helped to change how I shoot, no longer do I worry about missing the action! Shutta makes it so easy to extract photos from video and the community is so active and fun. The missions, which allow you to win prizes, are great and I actually won myself (which never happens)! I'm a proud shuttographer and can't wait to see how this app continues to develop.
Not intuitive , too many unnecessary add ons

Have to go scrolling left , right, up or down, through screens to do the basic function, capture a photo from video.

Requires logging in through social media account to open app. I don't want to link this app to social media, so there's no way for me to use it.

The app gets great reviews requires, at first launch, the creation of some unknown account or the use of a Facebook (or twitter) login. You cannot use the app until this is done. There's no offered explanation. Because of this, the assumption must be made that use of the app is not completely private. When working with my personal videos and images, this concerns me. The developer may respond that it is private - but in that case there should be no need for any "account" to work with my personal videos/images - locally on my device. The terms of service say Shutta "shall be free to modify at any time." I've deleted the app and won't use it until the login requirement is removed.

I appreciate the user-friendly features of Shutta. As a yoga teacher, I film yoga sequences to share with my community and I need to capture images from those sequences. Shutta let's me do that easily. I can scroll through videos quickly but also step through frame by frame which is really handy when trying to isolate a moment in a movement. I appreciate the recent addition of filters and that I can share images I've captured in a variety of ways, including simply saving them to my phone.
