This is a truly superb game. I enjoy playing shuffleboard in person, but don't get to do it very much, because I live in a smallish town and there is exactly one shuffleboard (that I know of) located in it ---and it's in a rather seedy pub that one would do well not to visit. I've been looking for a digital shuffleboard game for years, and though there are a couple for the PC, playing with a mouse is mediocre at best. This, on the other hand..... is wonderful. The touch screen on my iPod is perfect (as realistic as you could expect to get) for shuffleboard, and the 3D graphics are both nice to look at and "simple and to the point." I have plenty of other games and apps, and some of them are much more popular, or flashy, or fancy, than this one. Nevertheless, it's this one that I keep coming back to, and would recommend heartily to anyone who likes shuffleboard. It is a very addicting game, is done well graphically, and the computer is a worthy and varied opponent (indeed, it beats me a lot of the time!) There are a lot of seeming youths on here, who write reviews when they've never played the software, or who can't take the time to read more than three words together and assume that anything longer must be a developer's attempt to pump up the ratings, so I better cover myself and state that I'm not affiliated in any way with the guys who made this ---it's just a great game that I enjoy, and I would like to tell people about it. For $2.99, it's a steal. Classic and classy.
Thanks for the updates! My gf and I love playing this in bed at night to chill out. Its simple, t works and is worth the purchase.
A little expensive but easy to play and challenging enough to keep you interested for hours.
This game is perfectly suited for the iphone. Dont miss it. Its very well done.
This is an awsome well designed game. I love it and find m self playing this over and over again. Love it!
It would be good if there was a counter on my device that said how many times I've played this little game. It's such a good "quick play" and I've caught myself several times thinking that I've got five minutes to kill and then ended up playing this or wurdle. The graphics and execution are very nice for a game under $3 and I would guess that I'm already at about a 1 cent per game... how's that for cost effectiveness? It took me a little while to figure out how to best "flick" the pucks down the board but once I had that I was on my way. Sure I still miss fire a few times, but I've done my share of that on the real boards. The game is also great for my kids when they need something to keep them quiet on car rides or at Church. As a note for improvement... It would be nice to throw in a "story mode" where you move up in ranks and face the tougher computer players that way. I don't mind the black background but you could have background change as you move up... like the Texas Hold'em games out there. But that's just an idea and I'm sure it would push the price up... which I'd pay. Thanks for a fun game!
It's fun but sound effects would be nice. Should be .99 or free. Maybe future updates will prove me wrong.
I bought this because I used to play the real game whenever I was on vacation as a kid, hotels always had them. It's very well done, simple to play, takes 1 minute to understand yet challenging enough for hours of play. I find it perfect for those times when I've got a few minutes to kill. The graphics are realistic, as is its motion. The addition of a simple sliding sound would make it perfect. Very well done!
