I love this app. However it has many problems and it really requires an update, is difficulty is not really in ordered of strenght as its rating in 1250 is more challenging than 1450, it would be better if they add a solution to this problen in the later update

Love the app! Especially love the puzzles, but the only thing that I find rather irritating is that points get deducted at the same rate for all of them - whether a puzzle consists of multiple moves or a single move. There must be some correction as to how points get awarded according to the puzzle difficulty. That would only be logical and fair, right?

It adjusts the difficulty after every match according to your playing strength. I'd love to see a feature for adjusting the puzzle difficulty as well, because some of them are easy and some are really hard.

My favorite feature is the strength meter. Watching how much the needle moves tells you the key pivot points in a game. I've entered games I've played to analyze my mistakes, and I feel it's made me a better player. The chess engine is top notch, maybe not the strongest, but more versatile than most.

I played chess quite a bit back in high school a few decades ago and I wanted to get back into playing. After trying several chess apps I find that Shredder is my favorite. Not only does it feel fun, I love how it calculates my rating after every game quantifying my progress. After a few days with the lite app I upgraded to the full version.

1. Liked the 100 problems on the free app so much that I took a crowbar to my wallet and shelled out the $7.99 for the additional 900 problems. Was looking for a cheaper app with more problems. There used to be an app with 1200 problems but I could no longer find it. These problems are just right for a 1900 rated player like me but might be too difficult for weaker players. There needs to be different levels of problems. BTW, because the free app selects random order for the problems, there were 28 repeats out of a 100. 2. I think that the user interface could be simpler. The "+" symbol does not seem intuitive. Took me awhile to find the analysis mode. Need a 1 step method of going from problem to analysis mode. Would like to be able to cut and paste games. 3. Didn't like the default colors, but fortunately you can change them. Prefer the graphics and user interface on tChess. 4. Like the strong engine for analysis. Haven't done any playing yet. 5. Mel1995 seems to be describing a different app. I have seen none of these problems.

It was a great game but the lack of updates have me thinking it's no longer supported. You cannot listen to music while playing which is frustrating.

To shredder team I was wondering if you and your team can some how create alongside with the new update (iOS 8) a collective score of how many points (pieces) both players and Shredder have during gameplay. ?? Shredder Fan
