Show of Hands is a smart and fun community polling platform for people who love burning questions! Answer new questions daily and see instant, real-time, anonymous results from fellow brilliant minds around the country. This information is broken down by age, religion, income, and more! (You can just think of us as your national level town hall.)

In this version we have ramped up for election 2016 with polls surrounding politics, the issues our candidates are talking about, as well as our latest feature which allows you to debate about the actual candidates! Come share your anonymous thoughts-- election 2016 is just around the corner! If you're not into politics, we have plenty of polls about other topics-- sandwiches, murder, puppies, relationships, the NBA Finals, and more! (What- we have a lot of interests!)

We have a work hard, play harder mentality in our question-asking: we ask the tough questions so that you can anonymously debate real world issues, and we ask the lighter questions because sometimes Mondays are just hard. We want you to think! Have you ever thought about if you would prefer to have wings or gills? What about your thoughts on if Hillary will win the 2016 election? Should be called “Show of Racism”, or “Suow of Ignorance”. Good idea originally, but now this all is just a cesspool of Trumpy disinformation and sham “polls”. No longer useful or interesting.

App founder ignores abuse.

Members have called women the “c” word and worse. No response when this is reported. Even when replying to a thread posted by the founder, I am ignored.

This app has gone severely down hill over the years. While the developer does add updates periodically to address bugs and add “improvements,” nothing is going to fix the fact that the users of the app are mostly conservative, so the results to every right-slanted poll (and most are) just winds up being a majority of conservative group-think. Along with this, when anyone on the left cares to comment their opinion, they’re attacked by those on the right with a wave of disrespect and blatant rabid vitriol, called names, and even threatened at times. All of this is allowed to happen, even though it’s against ToS, and when it’s reported, nothing ever happens. Dare to ignore someone who is bullying and threatening you, and those same people will label you as pro-censorship, hiding, unable to debate, all too often, a snowflake. Aside from the above issues, many of the polls are rhetorical, and slanted toward the right. If you’re a liberal, I’d recommend against using this app, unless you like that kind of punishment. If you’re a conservative, you’ll often get a free pass on whatever you say, so you’ll probably fit right in.

What is the deal with being asked to agree to the terms of use every single time the app is opened?!?! Really?!?!

I’ve been using the app since 2014. I feel it’s not as good as it once was. One of the things I miss most is the “I agree with” feature. There was also an interesting polling feature during the 2016 election that was not brought back during the 2020 election. Still, overall, a decent app.

Used to be interesting now just spammy

This used to be a super interesting app that would let you compare your preferences and opinions with instant nation wide survey results. Used to love reading the questions out loud to my family for thought-provoking discussions. Now it’s just trashy user-generated social media posts, many with no real questions or answers.
