I’ve used this for years. LOVE IT!!! And I want it to continue. Right now it chimes erratically. They need to update for the new iOS.

I’ve lived on a cruising sailing yacht for over 30 years with my Weems and Plath equipment and ship’s bell clock. This app is my perfect companion while traveling ashore. The app works perfectly on iOS 11 however you must have notifications turned on and specifically sound notifications in the app turned on. Then it works as it always did!

Retired from the USN and this is my only clock. Very good, though I’d like to see some timing adjustments to increase the time between each set of two bells as well as a single bell. Also, it’d be great if I could hear the bells without having to turn on EVERY notification on the device. There are some notifications I just don’t want to get just to be able to use this app. Thanx

Deserves no stars. I should have read the reviews before spending my buck. Bought app on the recommendation of my brother, an Android user. By reviews, it appears it has not worked for some time. My Jan 2019 purchase does nothing. If it doesn’t work, should not be allowed on App Store! /Gp

Is what Weems and Plath told me when I wrote to ask why it stopped working. Which leaves Marine Bells as a viable alternative , although their chime is not so sweet.

It goes through all of the motions but no results. Extremely disappointing, I was really hoping it was going to work as advertised. I sent the company an email explaining the problem, no reply.

This app used to work great but the recent yearly releases of iOS seem to have broken it. The chime no longer works which is the prime reason to have the app in the first place! It would be great if the app was updated to support the latest versions of iOS. If it is not going to be updated it should be polled from the App Store.

The app is non-responsive when I try to adjust the start and stop periods of the silence time. This would not be an issue for those who don't mind the bells ringing 24 hours a day, but even USN ships do not ring out the watch throughout the ship from taps till reveille. This problem started when I upgraded my iPhone 6s Plus to iOS 10. The app worked fine until then. I have emailed Weems & Plath twice about this issue with no response.

It works but the silence switch does NOT work. It chimes but you can NOT modify the silence period. And the chime sequences are NOT at the correct tempo. Moreover, iOS 10 warns that app could run improperly, and the producer of it needs to update its code. The chimes are a good way for me to measure periods, but its quality is like HP products, an annoying reminder to NEVER buy any of their other products. Meanwhile, I have deleted the app; another $0.99 wasted.
