Shell Squad Adventures by Hatch is a free app created exclusively for children ages 3 – 5 years and is part of the iStartSmart Elite Learning System by Hatch. Shell Squad Adventures helps children build foundational literacy and math skills in English and Spanish while developing empathy and self-esteem. Progress monitoring data on individual child and classroom performance is automatically transferred over to the Hatch Report Management System (RMS) online. Software features include:

Automatically capture and monitor real-time progress data while children play and learn. Access detailed information across 18 literacy and math skill areas with data that is sent directly through a wireless connection to the Hatch RMS. Log into the Hatch RMS website from any computer with web access to review progress monitoring data. Improve Kindergarten readiness by monitoring individual student progress for refocused learning or creating additional small group instruction within the classroom.
Security/Confidentiality
To maintain security and confidentiality, all data captured and recorded during child play remains within the app until sent to Hatch RMS online. Data captured using the app cannot be sent anywhere other than to Hatch RMS online. Files captured using other apps cannot be transferred into the Shell Squad Adventures by Hatch app.

The Shell Squad Adventures by Hatch is part of the iStartSmart Elite Learning system that includes the Hatch RMS and Dual Language Learning options. As each child completes a learning level they are presented with a piece of an artifact related to their adventure location. From collecting a crystal in a cave to a gold coin on a pirate ship, watch your children fill their museum with a collection of artifacts! With learning games in English and Spanish, teachers and admins can set each child to the language profile appropriate to their program including All-English, All-Spanish, or designate English or Spanish versions of math or literacy. A playful, engaging learning environment maximizes a child’s cognitive development while automatically monitoring their skill development in English and Spanish on a tablet device. The iStartSmart Elite Learning System takes the guesswork out of what children need to learn each day and ensures children remain in their optimal learning zones.
