These computer people play like idiots!!! Why??. They lead trump all the time when they’re NOT partners!!! They would never do that in real life,,!!

Great explanation and leasters or doublers you can choose. It’s a tough game to learn so it’s nice to learn against the computer rather than the stress of people. You can set it so you must tap before the hand/trick is collected which enables you to learn the reasoning of what is the highest trump. It’s a good app to learn sheepshead. I would recommend it to all learners.

3 handed seems pretty good. 5 handed was not enjoyable. Too many totally non logical plays (ie: non partner with multiple trump, uses Q clubs instead of smaller trump on call ace: another time non partner can trump called ace-smears!!). This version I would give a 2 1/2 stars. Needs to be re-written.

Nice but needs refining

The app has a nice and clean UI, but the logic needs further refining. For example, non-called partners should not be failing off points to the picker when they have non-point fail options. It’s a complex game so it’s understandable that the logic has flaws. Keep working on it, it’s a good app.

Pros: I love Sheepshead and was happy to find this App. Cons: Some of the moves are really stupid when a partner leads Trump when he still has plenty of fail cards. Is it on purpose that you use a Billy Goat who continuously picks often with a poor hand, impossible to win with. Please play a dozen hands and tell me if you see the same thing. Thanks When playing 3 handed the “identify picker” only works on the first couple of hands. Then it is showing on 2 players making it impossible to know which one is the real picker. I don’t think this app was made by a professional web designer! After 50 hands you’ll begin to see a repeat of the same hands. In 3 handed the Moose wins all the time and is always burying 2 Aces. Very boring 3 handed game!!

Apps needs to be updated for better non-partner playing of trump

The app needs updating as non-partners are frequently leading trump when they shouldn’t. Additionally non-partners are not taking early tricks and coming back with called suit until after trump has been run out by picker and partner. Frustrating.

They did a great job here. I wish we could play against other live players. Any way to make this happen? Also, it often shows two different pickers during the game and I have to remember who actually picked. Also the picker always bury Aces and then often leads out fail even if they have a decent hand. Should keep an Ace and trump people out and later play Ace and it walks... Otherwise great game

I have played this game for 40+ years. I hold my own against other experienced players. Other than very short periods, you will constantly lose point ground against the app opponents. The app is very aggressive on picking and nearly always gets a partner with a strong hand with the ability to out trump at critical times. After 100+ games, I have been able to pick 9 times and 4 of those were aggressive picks. At the end of the 100 games, I was -68 with just one other app character slightly negative. I never got a loaner hand. This app is so badly rigged against you that it is boring. Update... I tried the called ace version. It should be called the “you no pic game”. I played 50 games. 47 were impossible to pick with... typically 2 trump and fail cards that would make a decent cribbage hand. The 3 good hands I got, the app picked in front of me. The picker loses more often than the diamond jack partner version, but not by much. Boring the way the app is ser up. Update #2: I tried another 50 hands and kept detailed notes. 41 times I got two or fewer trump. In the other 9 hands I never got more than four trump. I could only pick twice because the other seven times I more than two trump an app opponent picked in front of me. The two picked hands I lost... partner was weak and my picks were aggressive with little points buried. The 48 times I could not pick, I was the called ace partner 31 times which is statistically hard to believe. Boring to play with unrealistic odds stacked against you. I quit this app.update #3: I want to play the game so I kept trying. But I dislike this app to the max. Ridiculous app play... non partner trump leads and smears to the picker when not necessary and the picker obviously has the round. . Consistently deals me crap hands. Rigged, statistically impossible card power distribution. The app picker criteria AI is crap. The choice to pick seldom makes it to me... app e-players will pick for no rational reason... picks with just two trump is not uncommon... you having a picking hand is rare or the chance to pick seldom makes it to you. The app’s partner very often has a stronger hand than the app picker. Can you occasionally win? Yes, but rarely and even more rare as the picker because you seldom have the chance to pick. This time I am really moving on.
