Love SRT

Mint user for many years

This app really helps me read the Bible everyday, which I love. It is a great motivator. I get the emails for the daily devotional and then read the Bible on the app. I like most everything about app except recently the app wasn't opening. I had to re-download the app which made me loose all of the bookmarks and notes that I had saved. On top of the it uses a lot of memory to have bookmarks and notes saved. Please change this for future versions! It would be awesome if some features synced online so I won't loose notes again!

Gods love is free .

There should be no reason why we have to pay for the plans the word is for everyone to read freely .

Disappointed

Mandea729

I recently signed up for the She Reads Truth studies and was ok paying a few dollars for previous devotions. This time though, I Purchased the Romans book and was greatly disappointed to learn I had to still buy the study on the app to read the devotions. For the price of the book, there should be a code for free devotional readings ( my fault for not reading more closely I guess, I thought they'd be in the book!)

Understand Charge

TexasEagle777

I downloaded the app just to give a review. Some of the people were griping about a charge for the app stating that the Gospel and God's love are free. It's true they are. But, plan and simple the Good News of God's love is free, but it's not freely preached. Someone has to pay for time effort and cost of getting the message out there. If God's Word is good enough to read, it's worth a few bucks to get a good app. :)

Pretty (expensive)

reckonings

In theory, this is a very good app. It's organized very well, it looks amazing, and it's easy to use. The only problem is that it's expensive. There are 13 free plans (day by day studies of sections of the Bible), and 36 paid plans. Those planes cost $77 all together. I don't think this app should be free-- it cost money to make and organize. At the same time, each plan should be one dollar MAX (and even that is pushing it). There should be a bundled version with all of the plans for around $5-10 so that way it's easier to purchase. After that, $0.50 a plan. Previous news articles should also be read expect for the last two--I had to go through 67 alerts saying there was an unread news article, which was annoying.

Why should I have to pay to do a devotional

Great encouragement

Nightowl-86

This is a great way to encourage Bible study and better than most Bible studies for women who give one verse out of the Bible and then a page of what they have to say. As far as having to pay for a study, I don't understand why people complain about this. You get the Bible in several versions for free. You get many Bible studies for free. These writers are devoting time writing for you and to say God's love is free is equivalent to saying that anyone doing any type of ministry should not be paid for it. Even the apostles were paid in room and board.

Great app, worth the cost

Jess_T_2015

Yes, most of the devos do have a cost - however they are thoughtfully written with beautiful artwork and lots of legwork to put together. You also can download all their beautiful backgrounds for free. This app is a great tool to draw closer to the Lord, and their ministry deserves financial support. Also - you can access all of their devotionals for free on their actual website rather than going through the app if you prefer.

Great App!

JeWriter

This app has great features! For those complaining about the fact that lessons/devotions cost extra, remember: When Jesus sent his disciples out he said: And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. - Luke 10:7 Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says, "You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain," and, "The laborer deserves his wages." - 1 Timothy 5:17-18 Ministry isn't free of cost to those ministering. The developers may not be elders but there is a biblical principle of paying teachers, preachers for their labor.

Ok, but the costs add up!

Not ready to pay

I downloaded this bible desiring a closer walk with the Lord. I was excited to be a part of a community of women studying the Word together. I liked the ability to highlight, make notes, copy, etc. the passages. The plans were captivating but each one cost at least $1.99. I went back to my YouVersion Bible, which I've head for several years. I discovered it had the same features (maybe more) and all the plans are free!
