Misleading for foreign travelers

I downloaded car2go as I am staying in Munich and it seemed like a great idea as my wife and I had the opportunity to go to a hockey game in Ingolstadt and then also go to the airport tomorrow. I signed up, was told I was verified, and I was never provided a place to upload my international drivers permit which I do have. I went to rent grab a car today and I am just being told that i can’t rent a car outside of the US. No prompts to provide the permit, nothing stands out on their website, etc. So now I have paid car2go for no service. If you can start a car, maybe they are great, but unless the platform is improved, I would warn off those in the US

Stay away! You don’t want to get stuck in one of these cars, like I have with no help or solution to the your issue for hours and hours. By far the worst logistics and customer service team.

I’m having a difficult time to get my ID verified. The System continue reject me saying my selfie and my ID does not match. I called up and was told they cannot help me to verify it and I have to pass the AI test , just keep trying. Very helpful !
Unusable across continents

I downloaded this app in September and had my drivers license verified only for the purpose to be mobile during my business trips in Europe. To my surprise I couldn’t use my US account in Europe which I found deceiving as the stickers on the cars lead to this impression (Washington DC, Toronto, Vienna, Berlin, ...). This makes this app and service practically unusable for me.
More expensive than Uber ride

Take Uber ride and relax instead of reserving a car2go and paying more than Uber ride. It’s ridiculous. I reserved a car and drove 12 minutes for 2.4 miles and got charged $9.78 for the trip. If I took Uber, I would literally pay $6. I will never use car2go anymore
Worst customer service ever

They have the worst customer service. They do not comply with local laws and when they don’t know the answer just hang up. With so many mobility services out there, it is a waste of money to use this app.

The customer service representatives are rude. My account was somehow hacked. After I noticed some discrepancies I called only to be bombarded with snappy attitudes. And forced to pay a balance that wasn’t mines. Once I tried to post the balance I was then told I can’t because my account was blocked I decided to close the account and two days later sent an email that I can’t because of the outset ending balance. So how can I pay a balance that’s due if my account is blocked and you won’t let me access yet you still have my account open, doesn’t make sense. Terrible app no real assistance.

This is more like a scam! They don’t have a software feature that tells you where to park. Or if you are parking in a rush time area. I have parked before at around 8:00 pm and they charged me a ticket for 133 !! First time they said they paid it off since it’s my first time !!! I didn’t agree on that! Second time (today) they charged my a duplicate transaction $100 + $100 + 33.08 + 33.08 !!! YES 266.16 DOLLARS !! If you can afford uber or lyft or via or public transport it’s way better than CAR2GO !
