Like it!

I do like it & intend to use with a specific student. Wish I could select the sentences I want to target. Did not see that option in the settings....maybe I overlooked it. Will check again. If I find it I will change my rating.

Good

They love it!

As an elementary school Englis as a second language teacher, I use this app often with my beginning readers, kindergarten through 2nd grade. This app allows them to build detailed sentences that are far beyond the level they would be able to achieve without the app. This is because in addition to the illustration, the sentences are spoken and each word the student touches to drag in place is spoken too. I like that the punctuation is required to complete the sentence. I also like how you can use settings to have only the words needed to build the sentence OR have extra words that don't belong in the sentence, raising the level of difficulty. There is a little celebration (a diamond appears and there is the sound of applause) when the student correctly completes the sentence. This is not a game, however. There is no score card or anything. The students just keep building and building sentences, so they tire of playing after 5-10 minutes.

Beginning literacy

Jmb2000

As a teacher of students with orthopedic impairment I find this is a great way to work on beginning literacy at the sentence level without typing entire words. They can just concentrate on the sequence of the words and the ending punctuation.

Love the app but....

IXA MOSES

It crashes since the update when I try to create my own lessons. Please fix.

Useful

I really like this apps focus. I'm currently using it with a student that has been impacted by autism. I liked it so much, I purchased the full version. I do have a suggestion that would make this app amazing. Please put the words in random order. On each level there's a pattern to the answer. Many students with ASD are proficient at that skill, and once they figure that out, my app purchase is worthless.

Sentence Builder

Speechieone

Sentence Builder crashes every time I try to open it on my iPad Air.

My grandson started using this app at early four. I can't say enough good things about this app. I give a lot of the credit to this app for him reading at third grand level at five years now.

Good with a catch

ABNass

This is a good app for sentence building skills, but there’s problem. The help section is basically youtube videos which bypasses all youtube/video controls on IOS. This opens up a pandoras box for small children and basically makes this good app worthless. Abitalk: stop being lazy and relying on youtube videos.

Flexible and quite usable

TeachSLP

It have a wide variety of sentences, and you can even create your own, from your pictures, or ones already in the app. I can't wait to try it with my students.
