Watch app unreliable

Sometimes I open the watch app and the numbers are there immediately. Most of the time, though, I open it and it’s blank except for the blue authenticate text and the time. I eventually give up and use the phone app. Usually if I look again several minutes later the numbers have appeared, but I’m unsure if they’ve shown up because I used the phone app or if they’d have eventually displayed in either case.
A few issues

The Apple Watch app is slow and the number that loads is unreliable. I would like the phone app to instantly display the code if there is only one token installed on it. Don’t make me make the extra click every time.
Watch app is broken

Says to open the phone app to sync but nothing happens. Also the send feedback link in the app does nothing so I couldn’t report it.
I have a passcode enabled!

Recently the app told me that I need to use a passcode on my device in order to use the app, but I have a passcode and Face ID enabled. App is unusable for me now.

Extremely frustrated with designers of this app for creating an app that becomes a vital part of work flow then completely fails. Even with a fix, my confidence in this app has evaporated.
New Update is horrible

App won't open. If it does open it crashes. Have to use this app for work and now unable to work from home.

Updated today. Pin still works but my account disappeared and there is no way to add an account. The buttons at the top do nothing!
