Scry

Scry gives you quick and easy access to the d20 version 3.5 System Reference Document (SRD) as well as the Pathfinder SRD.
Category Price Seller Device
Reference $4.99 Purple Ghost Software, Inc. iPhone, iPad, iPod

This information includes races, classes, feats, skills, spells, magic items, monster, traits and psionic powers compatible with the d20 System version of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D), Pathfinder and other various role playing games.

Unlike some other similar apps, Scry allows you to drill down in categories to get to more specific subsets of data instead of having to wade through a huge list of information. For instance, you can view a list of all the spells, or drill down to view all the spells for a particular class or drill down even further to view only the spells for a particular level for the selected class.

Scry is built as a Universal App which means it has been designed for both iPhone and iPad in one application. So, the one app will run natively on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. No need to pay separately for the iPhone and iPad versions like many other apps do.

This version does not have any ads.

Very simply, the best app I've ever gotten. Especially if you play 3.5 GET IT.

Incredible.

I haven't played D&D, but I thought it would be cool to have this anyway. Now that I've looked through it, I might have to get the gang back together to play. This reference app is awesome and a huge bargin. The monster reference alone (with pics of almost every creature) is well worth the price.

Great app

This app is awesome. I have missed playing and miss it even more now that i have this. Such a good help and a lot less to have in front of you if running a game. An addition of a pop up dice roller would make it a DM dream. Also would like some pics of the races and classes, not just the monsters but still A+++++++

Amazing

The greatest( and damn cheap) dnd app around. If you added a loot generator, this app would be better, but it is hands down the best dnd app in the store! Please also add conditions, and maybe even core rules, so we could make a 3.5 character on paper. Also, if you like this app ( no, I'm not advertising) get dnd scribe, it's a 3.5 character sheet for the iphone/ipod If you can add the whole players handbook and dms guide in time, this would be the best app ever

this app is awesome, the only thing I would add is a table for getting treasure in 3.5 with mundane and magic items

Thanks for the update! This app is going to be so much more useful now. Great Job. Now I am going to be a little greedy. Is there any way to add a feature to manually add entries that are not in the app (i.e. spells, equipment, etc from other books)? If not, no big deal. I just wanted to put that out there. Still an awesome app.

Almost perfect

I love every thing about this app. I wish there was a way to filter other than a search field. I would like a filter for the monsters. Let's say your looking for a type of monster, it would be nice to just be able to type in the filter undead or incorporeal. Also, when I try to look at the picture of a monster it takes at least a minuet to load, and was wondering if it was just me or can a patch fix it.

Not bad

The layout is great and easy to navigate but the lack of material is too much. There's hardly anything outside of the core books. No variants, complete books, spell compendium...

Really needs a search field...

So I choose this app over the other iPad compatible one because it had 5 stars, however, I believe it should only have three, due to the fact that the app doesn't have a search field look for information right away. Using this app is like using the book, but without the convenience of having the book. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice, stable app, but without some search function, I spend just as much time flicking through lists as I do flipping through pages in a book. The only reason I would want to use a digital version of the rules is to be able to search them quickly. Again, this is a great app and would be a 5 Star one too, if it had a search (Mainly because it is the only one with pictures on the app store). I hope a future update adds this search feature (if it is even possible). Then I'll happily give it a 5 Star!

Disappointed

I had troubles with the app at first but once it was pointed out to me the blue arrows are how you pare down to the class specific spells it became a lot more viable of an app. It could still have a better search feature though. The search screen disappears as you scroll down, call it nit picking but when I skip to M to find mace and it isn't list, I don't want to have to scroll forever to find the search box.
