I recently received an iPad, and I have been creating videos of me working out math problems using the iPad Pencil stylus, then uploading to my cloud storage, importing to the desktop screencast-o-matic program to edit and upload to either my LMS or YouTube or my hosting site. It was such a pain! But I didn’t like anything else available. This app has streamlined that whole process and easily saved me 10 or more minutes per video (and I make approximately 20 a week as an online instructor) so THANK YOU. This app does everything I need: screen recorder (with automatic cropping of that awkward time to open the app I need to record!), editor for the inevitable mistakes, and ability to upload to wherever I need to send it. The ability to easily import videos recorded with the camera or other programs is incredibly useful. This is the app I always wanted to find. If you make videos with an iPad, you need this app!

I use the desktop version almost every week while making videos for my college classes and sending my students feedback. If Screen-O-Matic and blackboard collaborated I would be in heaven, (note to developers). I will link my videos into the blackboard platform via links or HTML code, perfect the desktop version allows me to organize my videos into different channels, add descriptions, add passwords, make it searchable through Google, wowow. I love the desktop version. When the mobile version came out I was quick to download it and play with it. So far I am impressed. What works well is I appreciate that it records my screen and my voice, I like my Apple iOS screen recording to tool. I made a five minute video for one of my students, I was able to effortlessly upload the video to my account, add the description add the password and link it to her via email, allowing her to have video feedback of her paper on the fly, instead of waiting for me to get back to my desk hours later. I docked one point because I would love to see the cursor highlighted because that’s a pet peeve of mine with screen recorder tools but it is nowhere near a reflection on the impressive work with this app so far. I did have problems linking my mobile app to my account using their submit button but I sent tech-support feedback to them and I’m sure I am doing something wrong, or it’s a glitch. But for a free app, there is an unreal amount of tech at the hands of a professor who is trying to connect with her students. Thank you ;)

i love the idea but a few issues one no in game audio two I DONT HAVE A COMPUTER so this app is not of any help to me but i like idea

I highly recommend that you get this app. You can make tutorials, reactions, and maybe even gameplay! Also you can crop with face cam and so much more. I do have complaints, you should be able to add arrows, shapes, and import other videos into a video. But overall this is a great app!
No music?
Kinda feel cheated
I'm wanting to send small snippets of my favorite parts of songs to my friends without the hassle of telling them to skip to that one part and nervously waiting to see if they succeeded. I was happy to hear that a microphone is included in the app, because I thought it meant I could finally do this! But whenever I started recording, the app cut off my music- it didn't even pause it; the music continued but it was muted. I'm not the most technical person, so maybe it's me. Other than that, the app is well put together and useful!

Does Not Work Properly!!!!

I have been having problems uploading my videos from my iPhone or iPad. Every time I attempt to upload, I am asked if I want to allow access, I say yes then I receive the error message “Safari cannot open the page because server cannot be found.” I have reached out to support for assistance and everything I was told to do (to include uninstall and reinstalling) has not worked. At this point, I am removing the app because it is not useful to me. Hopefully this issue can be resolved sooner than later.
