Completely free app designed by a scoutmaster. I built this specifically for what we scoutmasters need. It will quickly give you a view into the status of your troop broken down by scout, rank, merit badge, and even by each requirement. (It can be really handy for parents too)
It helps answer the constant questions:
"What should we work on?"
"Where is Johnny's status?"
It can also be used by individuals to track their own progress.
I have been using this for my own troop for quite some time and it was a big hit with the boys at scout camp. They earned several extra merit badges just because it was so easy to see what needed to be done and get it signed off.
It also saved me hours of filling out blue cards because you can generate a double-sided pdf from within the app and then print it out.
Features:
- Completely free.
- Digital signatures
- Pie chart showing each boy for each rank/badge/requirement
- PDF blue cards. (Huge time saver!)
- Made and tested by real scoutmaster and troop
- Now uses the updated requirements
This app is awesome! The only thing which would make this app better is to add support to sign off individual skills.
I recommend adding a Order of Arrow feature so people can keep track of there eligibility and progress in it.
I love this app because it’s easy to use, it’s free, and it’s keeps me going. It has every rank requirement and merit badge requirement. You don’t have to go out and buy the merit badge requirement book. I don’t use the sign off feature because I love having a hard copy (the scout book), but it’s easy to avoid that feature. Would recommend this app to any Boy Scout trying to get organized and trying to get to eagle.
Great App. Can you please update with all the 2019 rank & merit badge requirements? Thanks, Jason
This is an amazing app so far. There is only one problem. Why can’t I log my camping nights, service hours, or my hiking miles. Please add this in the near future. Btw I am a tenderfoot, so this is why it would be helpful.
Loving this so far. One question, for any bugs/questions, is there a good way to contact? A wiki or faq for issues perhaps? Issue: When we add a scouts troop number, council, and district it’s not populating on the pdf for blue card. Many assistant scoutmasters in the troop are loving this app, great way to keep track! Many thanks for the effort!
I have twin sons who just earned their Scout rank. When they took Rawhide at summer camp, they completed various requirements from Scout through First Class. This enabled me to track what they completed to show the scoutmaster. The only improvement I would like to see is to be able to check off individual tasks in a requirement. So if a requirement is 4a-d and they did parts a,b, and c, but still need to do d, then I would be able to mark off the completed tasks and know where we are. I look forward to using this in our scouting adventures!
As a scout and not yet a scoutmaster I may have a more limited use for this application than others, however it has already proven to be wonderful in helping me understand what needs to be done to help the scouts that I am tasked with assisting. I would also like to recommend an organizing tool for the scouts, this could be in the form of alphabetical, rank or perhaps an age function to assist with organizing and better understanding who may need special attention or assistance. Thank you Sincerely, Cade DeVere, Troop guide, BSA Troop 41, California
This app is does so much of what I need as a scoutmaster! I love that I can take it on a camping trip with me and sign off requirements right there - and for multiple boys at once. I’m going on a week long backpacking trip with the boys next week and am definitely taking this with me. Highly recommended!
This is a wish list kind of app. I’m just glad I’m getting it while it’s free. The interface is clean and intuitive, and SO much faster than a) finding the scout book + b) keeping all the boys’ info up to date. The only thing I don’t understand is why didn’t BSA make this app? Thank you for making this!
