I love visiting your website. This app would be great if you actually had content available to purchase / subscribe to. Also anything more than $1.99 a month is crazy. $40.99 for 12 issues comes out to $3.42 an issue.
How dare you call this app free! The only thing at is free is the link to an overpriced online store front.
I want to be able to move those individual magazines into the newsstand app I have on my iPhone but I can't do that which is kinda upsetting.
Unless you are interested in purchasing an overpriced copy of their magazine do not waste your time. There is ZERO CONTENT on this app. Whoever they paid to create this app for them is flat out stealing there money. What a joke. It would take a 2 year old boy a minute to find cheaper backorders of this mag elsewhere.
I have been subscribing to SciFi Now for a few months now and I think its great. I get the news I am looking for on the things that interest me. For me its worth the cost for a good magazine.
Argh! It's an app wrapper for a magazine. Like the magazines on a physical newsstand in the non-digital world, people. Of course you have to pay for the issues, or a subscription! Do you get to swipe issues from the local bookstore newsstand shelf, or do you have to pay for issues? Think before you rate, people. It looks good, but needs more interactive content. Rather than blast the publisher for the horrible offense of wanting to get paid for their work, perhaps you should gently encourage the publisher to produce a multi-dimensional reading experience worthy of the iPad or iPhone.
I really like how you can scroll through the all pages at the bottom and can view a certain article in the mag.
I like the app, but it won't take new "new" notification away which leaves a one on the newsstand app that go away. Please fix this. It is still happening after the update. I'm getting tired of always seeing a "1" in the corner of the newsstand app because of this magazine even after I opened it
SciFiNow switch to a different app and warn that purchased issues will need to be downloaded. That’s all well and good, but of course if you are paying for a current subscription, the ability to download previous purchased issues is ‘broken’ and will be ‘fixed in an update’. Typical.
Every issue is perfect from cover to cover, with the best photos, articles, and interface. Their super-size issues, which have to be bought separately and are not part of the subscription, are even better than most film books. Huge fan.
