Scattergories is a fun and addicting game. It provides a lot of entertainment. However I frequently run into a problem with answers they don’t accept. The answers they do accept are whitewashed. It does not reflect the diverse world that we’re in. For example, when using the name Pooja as an answer for “name ending in a” or “female name”, the answer was not accepted, despite it being a common name of Indian origin. Pollyanna was an accepted choice for those, despite it being a less popular name in the US according to babynames.com. Also “gay” is not a word they allow to be displayed as one of their answers, for example when you get the category “rhymes with day” and the letter G, gay is changed to gway. As a gay person, I’m a bit offended. Gay is not an offensive term and scattergories censoring it shows that they feel it’s an inappropriate or offensive term. Being gay is not inappropriate or offensive. So the game is entertaining, but narrow minded. They view culture and accept answers from a white American point of view. Most people probably won’t notice, but if you’re a minority or person of color, you will see how answers that a relevance to your culture are denied.

The game is really fun with a lot of different ways you can play the game. While there are a few things I don’t quite like about the app, the main thing is the keyboard. It’s really hard hard to type in this game. I’ve even lost rounds due to it not typing or typing the wrong letters. I really hope this changes because it can get quite frustrating!

Changes your answers, same questions frequently, adds between every round, keyboard is very frustrating, disputes are not consistent! Disappointing...
Remove Facebook for friends.

Make this app so you can play friends without using Facebook and I’ll redownload. Don’t use Facebook, but want to play real friends, this game is useless.

Addicting and fun. Only complaint is that once in awhile a word that I know is a word is not accepted. Worth $3 to not have the ads.

Some of the accepted and not accepted answers are absurd. Things you dream about, girls. Nope not acceptable to this game. Quick delete. I honestly didn’t pay attention to what I paid for it, but it was too much.
