Must have app for any musician, from beginner to expert! A valuable app indeed.

This app. is really exceptional, especially as an educational tool. I will recommend this to any aspiring musician or music teacher that use Mac platforms. The additional fee for more instruments should made clear before purchasing but it's a very small fee and well worth it. This app. is a huge time saver in trying to explain difficult music theory subjects and concepts through a well designed user interface. It is very easy to use and understand. The graphics are smooth, with nice script type that gives it a classical feel. A job well done by Smappsoft programmers!

Question

Is there any way this app could have the option of picking between different clefs?

Best app to learn scales with.

unwind777

This app is by far the best app I've ever had to learn scales with. They perfectly show the construction, formula, and intervals of the notes of the main scales with all their modes included as well. I'd love to see more by smappsoft in music theory.

Extremely Convenient and Helpful :)

I Play both piano and guitar and this a big help to me when i make covers of songs and when i transpose them as well.

Needs work. Not for professionals.

Good concept but other programs have substantially more scales. Where are the octatonic, diminished, and whole tone scales? Where are the exotic scales from hungary and asia? Until this gets more content I can't rate this higher. Get the planet waves scale app instead.

Great app but need more scales

Need to add jazz scales - bebop, diminish, half diminish, whole tone

Great for professional musician and student

A well designed music app. Easy and quick to use for a variety of scales. I use it for jazz, while my son uses it at Tanglewood for quick classical scale reference.

IMHO, best & clearest way to understand and study Major and Minor scales, modes, triads, tetrachords and blues scales! It's disciplined practice from here on in.
