Reviews

Hear me out. Kind of different from book 1
Espyxsxs

I’ve never cared to write a review before but... the tone and writing is as good as the first. However it feels as if we are restricted to the choices we’ve made based on our stats. Now each choice isn’t clear in which your atunement is raised or lowered. It kind of bugged me as I wanted to diversify my character from book one, it was a bit frustrating having want to open up to my motley crew but feeling as if i wasnt supposed to. As character development is something every story should have. Now i dont really agree with other criticisms when we move onto the island. I feel like it’s a welcome addition, there are supposed to be supernatural elements that tug and mislead your path as the oni of greed tried to do in the first. I think if you really liked the first book definitely consider reading this one. I was only annoyed with the atunement stats, and that I had to take to google for a particular segment (one involving a japanese board game). This book is all about the aftermath after a storm with an exciting beginning and another storm brewing towards the end. Im hoping book 3 holds up considering the positive reviews. Definite props to the author.

SO HAPPY

I literally just finished Book 1 and was falling into that kind of empty depression you get after reading something incredible but unfinished, so words cannot express how happy I am to find out that Book 2-4 are already out. Immediately downloaded and bought all the rest with no hesitation, that's how good this series is. Seriously love this so much!!

Awesome!!!!

Very happy this finally came out. I have conflicted feelings because I loved it so much I was disappointed when it ended. Can't wait until the next book!

Yay I'm the first one

JUST FINISHED READING IT!! WHY DEVON, WHY MUST YOU PLAY WITH OUR FEELS WHYYYYY??!? Anyhoosle, looking forward to book 3, whenever that may come out. I was actually hoping for more revelations centered around our Ronin's backstory, but alas, all I got were tidbits. Looking forward to reading again and analyzing each chapter with scrutiny. Also, LOVED the Masashi moments, though lacking?

More.

I need more. I read this book too fast. Please. Pleeeeease _(꒪ཀ꒪」∠)_

This is the best that triumph over all!

I honestly think this is the best of Hosted Games and Choice of Games. I really enjoyed this book as much as the first one, and I hope the next one will be just as good though I hope to see more of Junko — either he/she will be redeemed or the protagonist will be consumed.

Excellent!!

Well done. This was just as good as the first one. Too bad it ended before we could've killed this demon. Can't wait for the third installment. I hope there would be more to do during each book.

Still Excellent.

This one was just as good as the last, and left me wanting more. When my first feeling at the end is frustration and disappointment at the fact that it's over I know the story was executed well. I'd suggest this game to anyone even vaguely interested in the choose your own adventure drama, but only after playing the first. I fear too much would be lost without having played it first.

Book 3

Pleaseeeeee get that one out soon. I've written maybe 1 review the past 5 years but I fell in love with this series
