Nice beats eats battery

This is a nice Gin Rummy game, but it uses battery at a much higher rate than most other games I have. Make sure you have a full battery and a charger handy before playing this game for any length of time. I would give it 4 stars if the battery issue was improved.

Okay to play. Ads are annoying - they ALWAYS have loud music. Updated: Still with the loud ads. Obviously the developers couldn't care less about players, because they have not responded to any of the reviews here by addressing the issues.

I have to say that I actually love everything about the game itself. My problem is with the insane number of ads and the only way you can turn them off is by purchasing a subscription. No. I'd gladly pay $1 or maybe even $2 to get rid of ads permanently, but I'll never buy a subscription. That is ridiculous. I'll probably just delete the game.

I don't typically write reviews so forgive me if this is lengthy. I downloaded this game after my sweetheart and I tried playing the card game while he was in town. The night before he left he found this game on his android phone and I was able to match the app to my iPhone. Ecstatic about the game, we vowed to practice our skills while he left town again for a week. Each day, for a week, I played this game for however long I had time for. Sometimes three games in a row and sometimes only a few plays. This game offers great "game holding". It "pauses" the game and picks up where you left off after being away. That is a big thumbs up. I began adjusting the settings shortly after the second day. The game starts you out on "normal" mode. It's easy enough to learn rummy on this setting. While Ms. Green is a very simple component who likes to pick up the discard card then lay the same back down, I've noticed the pattern of newly dealt cards seem to always be the same suit amounts. Sometimes it varies slightly but doesn't appear as random as it could be. My quarrel is with the simplicity of the "normal" mode. Secondly, when switching the game mode on difficult, Ms. Green has got every card she needs except a couple because within even one move, I find she wins before I can even sort my hand. Again, my quarrel is with the poorly programmed game "levels". My next disappointment with this app is that the ads are outrageous. There's a particular ad with a mans face that will glitch the game into sending you to the App Store- without touching the screen. I did however find a loophole around this problem. If your iPhone settings are set to disallow the game to use any wifi or data, you essentially run the game off an app specific airplane mode. It eliminates the ads entirely. Lastly, during my week long test try of Rummy HD, I found myself growing frustrated with the touch point connections from my iPhone to the game. Often when I'd reach to grab a handful of cards, some would get skipped or be left behind. Also, when selecting the last couple cards in the whole hand, they wouldn't often select. I spent several minutes each play trying to swipe the lower right-hand corner cards to deposit on the board. Overall this game has great potential and could be the leading card game on both iPhones and androids but the programmers need to attend to the details more closely. I will probably be deleting the app from my downloads and search for another rummy game to replace what could have been a great experience but fell vastly short.
