Extended version of the game is a perfect solution to the problem.
It's very simple! Scissors cut Paper, Paper covers Rock, Rock crushes Lizard, Lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes Scissors, Scissors decapitate Lizard, Lizard eats Paper, Paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes Rock and Rock crushes Scissors.

This isn't really a game. It's just a random generator of match ups. You can't select anything besides friend or solo. With a friend I assume it still randomly generates for both players. So, it is really only a novelty app with some noteworthy graphics that would have enhanced the experience, if there was one to begin with. Sad
