Too good to be free

This game has a great combination of retro nostalgia without feeling copied. The battle and machina system is not over or under complex. It is visually appealing and the language is effectively localized. Also, it is stable on my device. It's too rare to find a game meeting these criteria and even at cost, well worth it. This game does not deserve to be free. Thank you.

Fans of the early Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, Earth Bound, and Bravely Default should easily be able to fall in love with this hidden gem on iOS. It is very similar to RPGs found on the SNES and does an amazing job at allowing the player to feel good about them self. It also does a great job at mixing up a more futuristic setting with a medieval one. Machine Knight is definitely a game that all RPG fans should have. Because of that, I give Machine Knight 5/5 stars.

Well worth downloading if you are a fan of Classic RPGs. Yes, the text is sometimes a bit much, but then I just skim it. Yes, the quests are often to kill 5 monsters, but these are just mini side quests in the game. My only other small criticism is that the game can be slow to let you into all the game mechanics. You can't even use the items you find early on because there is no way to access that menu. That being said, the game is well made. I do wish there was a medium difficulty because I breezed through to level 99 and had way too much gold by the end of the game. Maybe I shouldn't have grinded to upgrade my weapons so often.

Okay, I have quite enjoyed the game but am quite stuck at the moment. I finished the quest that has you talk to all the brothers and then after a lengthy cutscenes where they defeat machine soldiers...you're supposed to head to Haltea(sp?) but once at the castle there nothing happens at the castle entrance. I can't enter and the scene that is supposed to happen that says there is probably a hidden entrance never happens. Like I said game has been enjoyable so far, but I can't progress.

Great RPG game, might be the first one i ever finish. Started in advanced and was pretty easy, but maybe a local map was be great.

The combat could be better, but whatever. The art is decent and the story is fun, if not wordy. Probably my biggest complaint is the music... I don't like the music :-/
