RPG Buddy

RPG Buddy is a convenient way to keep track of initiative for characters and monsters in your tabletop role playing game session. Store the initiative bonuses of monsters, player characters, and NPCs in the library then create a set of enounters. When you need the encounter, simply bring it up in the RPG Buddy and let the system roll and keep track of initiative for you. This makes it super-easy to reroll initiative each round and also take some of the hassle out of preparing encounters. RPG Buddy also supports deleting monsters and reordering during the encounter so you can adjust things as needed while you are playing your game.

+4 vs GM insanity

This is a great little app for keeping track of where the heck everybody is supposed to be in combat order. Certain games, *ahem*, have so much going on each round that it's hard to manually keep tabs on who goes when. This is especially true when combatants start delaying their actions and you have to reorder them all. It's also nice because you can enter in all of the encounters you have planned ahead of time and then just pull up the one you need whenever the scenario comes up. Once nice addition might be to add the ability to keep track of creature powers and so you know when the are expended. Overall, a very helpful app indeed.

Sweet app

Great. Does what it says.

+'s and -'s

It's a decent app, I like the ability to pre program the encounters a head of time, but it's buggy and It could use some improvements. First thing that needs to happen is the bug fix, when entering encounters some would randomly disappear when I was brought back to the Encounters list. Also encountered problems of the app crashing when changing a name I had entered into the Players/Creatures list. Secondly I'd like the ability to manually enter what the players rolled. After those two concerns are addressed maybe streamlining the app with a hold action button and a labling system for PC's NPC's and creatures.

Great app! I like how easy it is to preplan the encounters and remove some of the tedium of keeping track of everyones rolls and init action. Good work!

Works Perfect!

Works exactly like it says. It helps me so much as a DM to manage the order of everyone's turn!

A great app!

I don't know how well it works for existing RPGs but it works great for inventing your own! The only problem with it is that there just isn't a good rolling system to me so I'd advise having a couple other apps to help with rolling and if your as extreme as I am about it a place to write down a cutscenes!

Awesome

I had problems with the older version but the fixes are great. Thanks for fixing the hp.

What I was looking for!

I hated using a whiteboard for keeping track of hp and statuses, so this was a godsend. It's not perfect, but it is definitely worth it. It doesn't have a function for noting that a creature is cursed, nor does it allow for noting any vulnerabilities/resistances/immunities that might be gained in combat. There is also no way to note temp hp. Otherwise, it is easy to use and navigate. I am glad I purchased it!

Not worth it

Not worth the time. I was very disappointed with this program.

Useless. Unless you can't write

When i first read this app. I thought it would be a handy tool. When i tried to use this, it only had the base character types (human, elf, dwarf etc) as names and some generic #s, that i could only assume would be initiative rolls. No real instructions. After thumbing around on it i found i could add characters/ creatures by naming them i tried using the status' but couldn't seem to apply them to who i needed. Then i found where you can BUY a bestiary 1 and 2 and some other creature sets ranging from .99 to 4.99 which claimed to add over 300 creatures. Well, wouldn't you guess it... They don't. I only saw 20 added to my generic list. So i uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, wondering if this may download what i had paid for. But the app cleared everything and wanted me to buy them again. ( so don't buy them). Overall...i can write and track 10 creatures in battle on my own before this app could successfully track 2
