Make SURE you plus in the infrared transponder that came with the robot into the audio Jack of your iphone or iPad before starting the app. Point directly at the robot, and voila! Works amazing!!!

Please fix this now. My son was very excited to use this app. When it didn't work he was very disappointed. The app crashes when you launch it and the eyes don't even light up. What's the big idea? Not working in Florida
Works just fine, if not better than the standard remote.

The difference between the hardware remote and the app version is nice. My 6-year-old can pick up and throw now, where before it was confusing for him.

Like others, I was initially very disappointed... After following the instructions given, it crashed on my son's iPod 4 and didn't work through my iPhone 4 either. BUT after reading through the reviews and following their instructions, it works. Do this: plug in and start the app (eyes only light up when you select a function), make sure volume is turned all the way up (app says 75% - wrong), point at robo and it should work. After I did this it worked on both of my devices. Good luck!
