This app shows current stream levels based on real time data from the USGS. The USGS provides river data for most major rivers and streams in the US. Rather than visiting a separate page for every river gauge of interest, River Link allows you to save favorites and view them all on the same view, even if they are all in different states.
River Link also allows users to set their own preferences. After doing so, the list of favorite rivers will display a thumbs-up or thumbs-down depending on what the given stream is running. Also, River Link will display an icon if there is a problem with a stream gauge, such as icing on the gauge or issues like gauge malfunction.
Ever wonder where a river gauge is exactly? River Link offers a map view of each gauge listed by the USGS.
River Link is a native iOS app and currently only runs on Apple devices. River Link was developed by Elliptio, LLC in Fayetteville, WV.
Used it this week to plan my trip to WV. Love being able to save favorite sections I want to follow!! The app worked great but the water was only cooperating on the New!
Please check the accuracy of the river depth at the Ponca excess, Buffalo River, Arkansas. I don't think the river ever gets that deep in that area.
I had an old app that I loved but is no longer available with my new phone. I've been looking and I found this one. So far, it looks really good. I love the user friendly interface. Gives plenty of useful information. I like that I can set my minimum and maximum water levels. Very nice app. I knew if I looked long enough, is find a quality replacement. Thanks.
