Stuttering and Bluetooth problems.

Mancjfjskc

The game likes to stutter from time to time. Also the game doesn't recognize my 8bitdo SFC Bluetooth controller.

Ad issue fixed

Skazknight

The infinite ad loop has been fixed. Controls obviously aren't as good as a controller but it's certainly playable and quite fun.

Just like the original game

LOVE IT! It's amazing! Thanks sega!

A well-preserved classic

TheUmotomats

Having just beaten the Steam version weeks before this was put up on the App Store, I was more than willing to play it again on the go. I keep seeing complaints about excessive ads but I have no idea what they're talking about; I eventually did pay to remove the ads just to show that Ristar's the kind of thing I'd be willing to spend money on, but that was after beating the game twice and failing Boss Rush a few times. For me they only showed up if I saved, and well, they gotta show up sometime. Sound quality and frame rate are good, and the only issue I have is the phone controls, though there's not much you can do about that.

Amazing game!

I have never played Ristar before and now I have, and I'm in love with it

Second best platformer on the genesis (other than sonic 2)

Orig DblD

This game is amazing it has a fantastic soundtrack and great level design and is just an almost perfect experience. The only problems I have is that the D-pad is kinda weird at times and you can’t save you game without wi-fi and a Game Center account. Overall this is a phenomenal title and I do recommend getting the ad free version for $1.99

Abysmal Performance

HyperChu

This game runs abysmally on my iPod 5, iPad 3, and iPhone 5C, with an abundance of slowdown, frame-tearing, and audio-popping. I already have this game on my Nintendo Wii, but the image just isn't as sharp as it would be through an HDMI signal. I'm 100% certain that the A8 chip in the Apple TV is more than enough to properly run this at a stable 60fps. Edit: Had to reduce this from 3-star to 2-star. I decommissioned my iPhone 5C and made a 3-generation leap to the iPhone SE, but even jumping from the A6 to the A9, the game still suffers from stuttering, frame-tearing, and audio-popping. It has become abundantly clear to me that the emulation software in Sega Forever is inferior to that of unofficial Genesis emulators for Android/Windows, and will run poorly on the A8 chip in the Apple TV (4th-gen) and even the A11 Bionic chip in the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. Sega Forever is a 2016 ARM-architecture Genesis emulator being outclassed by the Nintendo Wii’s “Virtual Console”—a 2007 PowerPC-architecture Genesis emulator. Nintendo has proven with the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch that ARM devices can run stable, accurate emulation of older consoles, making Sega Forever even more insulting. I suggest that Sega either patch each and every one of these games to be of the same standard as the 3D Classics line for Nintendo 3DS, or abandon the Sega Forever project altogether.

ITS AMAZING (along with the game)

Great game.

Cole Vert

One of the best genesis games created. Keep them coming. There's a ton of great ones that need to be ported.

Amazing game

Bionic212

I’m absolutely in love with this game. It’s super fun and very addictive. Literally can’t put it down. And the graphics are really good, the game looks amazing. And it runs very smoothly on my phone.
