Timing way off

elbradamontes

The only way to score a note as correct is to be behind the beat.

Great Exercise for All Ages

VinceB100

It looks like a kid’s game but it’s really great for all ages and levels. The background music is very professional for the long periods of practice that this will provide. The left button sensitivity may require a full finger press to be acknowledged.

Little tricky for students

amj88keys

The touch sensor was tricky for their tapping. I love the rhythms, incorporating two touch sensors, and the accompaniments on the last few levels.

Hard

Jaedalena

This is helpful with understanding notation but man it's hard. By like number 6 it gets complicated and fast. Mind you I got the app because I was having issues with rhythm so I figure this is a fun way but it doesn't warm you up to it. A metronome would be helpful to ease it up. It just teaches you something new with every challenge and doesn't give you similar challenges to get better. Glad I'm not paying for it now but maybe way in the future when I have more experience playing music. By the way, I'm 33 years old relearning to play the piano after 15 years.

no feedback

rootsfiddler

No sound when I play (other than the music track) and no feedback on how accurate my rhythm was performed.

Good but needs work

Yggiz

Level 1-13 consistently fails the user even though it shows all the notes as green (properly played.) I tried it 6 times, then gave up. There is also a latency at all levels between the button presses and the notes showing green on the screen, indicating the note is registered. Finally, it would be nice to be able to turn the music off and just have a metronome to play to. The music is sometimes more of a distraction than a help. There is an option at the start to turn music off, but it doesn't seem to work for the exercises themselves. Overall, I think the app is very useful for learning rhythm notation, it just needs some improvements.

It'd good

Jamie yuta hunt

It won't really help you but it's a fun game

Fix response and note values

Arik Denmark

It has given me horrible response time and the note values are incorrect for example a have was equal to a quarter note.

The game is pretty good

Jusdeide

I think overall the game is a good tool for assessing rhythm reading. Is it 100% accurate at all times? No. Sometimes you have trouble getting the iPad to recognize your touch for one beat in the exercise. Big deal. It teaches students another valuable lesson....keep going when you make a mistake! Isn't that what we want all our musicians to do in real time???

Tempi too fast

bkmoats70

I have no idea what age level this app is intended for, but some of the tempi are way too fast for first and second graders.
