Count off and song tempo don’t match

1-3, tempo of count off and tempo of song do not match

Excellent App!

This app does a wonderful job with song selection and varied rhythms. I appreciate the use of well-known tunes. I also like that the rhythms appear visually in meter, with measures. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that I discovered an issue with my colorblind students, who cannot distinguish which notes go with which button. I wonder if there is an equally distinct choice of colors that would be accessible to most forms of colorblindness. I also would suggest, if possible, the option of slowing down a piece...or maybe the opportunity to practice it. Very happy with Rhythm Cat, and am using it in my teaching.

Rhythm with my kids

We love this series of apps. My kids and I just finished this app. It’s fun to try to count it out loud while playing. An update could have a recording of someone counting off each level maybe. Then again, maybe that would make it too easy.

Wonderful

This is a great app for anyone trying to improve their music skills. There are lots of levels and the music is very catchy. I strongly recommend this; it's a great free app.

Almost perfect!!

I'm a music teacher and i use apps like this all the time with my students. this is one of the best in so many ways! The only thing wrong with this app is that sometimes you have to press the button so hard one is xhausted after doing three in a row. But the games themselves are awesome. It's almost perfect truly!

As a band director . . .

I think this app as many strengths including: - Visually appealing. - Great music to tap too (even some of the French songs too . . . ) - An "angry birds" style reward screen (with 3, 2, or 1 stars of accomplishment). However, some of its weaknesses might make it too difficult for a kid (or an adult for that matter) to use correctly. This includes: - The lack of a clear auditory clue that you pressed the button and held it down for the correct length. (Combined with:) - The visual clue that you correctly played the note is delayed by almost a beat, leading to confusion that I actually played the right note at the right time. If these were fixed, I could see this being one of the best apps for rhythm training on the App Store! Just my thoughts . . .

Great customer support

James was very helpful in troubleshooting the sound issues we were having with this game. We got a prompt response and several different things to try. Both of my daughters take piano love this game!

In need of some updates

I love this app, I really do. I use it all of the time with my students at the middle school level. I have found though that the accuracy of the rhythms needed are not always true to what is written. If you subdivide eighth notes (just tap repeatedly with no regard for the rhythm) you can still pass the levels with three stars. On the half note level, game eight, the eighth notes do not register and I cannot pass the level (I have two music degrees, I promise I'm doing it correctly!) A few bugs to fix and it will be great. The music that is used is diverse and catchy and is a good combination of well known music and less well known folk music of other cultures. Graphics are great.

FANTASTIC APP!!!

This is an amazing app. I am a music educator and my students love this! They feel like they're playing a game, but it really helps me assess they're strengths and weakness and it sure beats the old-fashioned flash cards. I love that it changes meter, uses ties and syncopations, and gets progressively harder. I can't say enough about this app!!
