The top players on this app are actually world champs, worth the download. Has a nice list of preferences, teaches you which opening work for you and has endgame practice and an easy match and rating system. I Like that it dosent have a move timer, this way I can distribute how I spend on each part of the game how I see fit.
Somebody please make something better

This is the only Othello app with a large player base. That’s the only reason I’m still playing it. There are several problems with it that I wish they would improve. The main one is that it manages to put my move on the wrong square quite a bit. I don’t have this problem with other Othello games, so I know it’s not me. Also, 5 minutes is a short game. I usually play with the sound off so I don’t have to hear the annoying click sound for every move. It does give quick little visual indications when every minute passes, but I wish it would do something more obvious for the last minute. Furthermore, there is no move timer, so if someone gets a call or otherwise drops the game at the beginning, I have to sit there and stare at the screen for five minutes while the game timer runs out. Overall, this app is poorly thought out, and the sounds and graphics are bad. I wish they would fix the problems and improve the gaming experience because otherwise it’s great. A lot of good players here. The rating system is good, and I like knowing the names of certain openings. Please make it better. I am just frustrated half the time because of an epically bad move I didn’t make, or running out of time when I should win the game. Hopefully someone will come up with something better than this for such a great game. One modification to the review. I lowered to 1 star because there are a lot of cheaters on this app. I don’t get why people cheat at this game. It doesn’t make sense to me, but there are plenty of people who do here, and it’s super frustrating to play them, especially since you can’t turn down a game. I can spot them now before I play them, but there’s nothing you can do about it. You just have to play, and have a bunch of points stripped away if you lose. So lame.

While the rating system may be a bit convoluted, and the matches are a little restrictive on time options (no 30 seconds per move per side - only 5 minute or 1 minute sudden death) this is still one of the best live game platforms I have found for Reversi. Waits for live-player games are almost always brief, and while you have no choice over the the opponents you are matched against, the mixture makes wins a reasonable possibility, depending on your skill level. My only real complaint would be against players who rudely take advantage of the limited time options to force you to wait until their 5-minute timer terminates in order to collect on your winning position. Suggestion: Adding the missing timing option mentioned above would eliminate that possibility, since moves not completed in 30 seconds would end the match.

Bad graphic. but, in this app online network, there are so many good players. And high leveled players play too. If you wanna play othello hard, get this app.
